The Official 2012-13 EPL Thread

If u could organise a City 5 goal thrashing and losses for United, Chelsea, Everton, Spurs and Newcastle that'd be great.
I promise to go to church more

Not a good morning for the English in the ECL.

How much longer does Di Matteo have a job for?? I give it 4 weeks.

If City beat them this week then the gap to the top will be 6 and getting worse. They played a weak side vs WBA so they could win today and they lost them both...

Chelsea really are a pathetic club. Should they beat City, potentially only one point off the top, coming off a Champions League and FA Cup double last season.
They seem very keen on Guardiola though, and whilst he's available, Di Matteo could be on the way out.

did anyone expect him to stay long term? this was just the right excuse. a little harsh really, but he was lucky to get the chance he did.
does it matter who they bring in? theyll be gone before the start of next season...
not sure id go as far as pathetic tho. theyve been pretty consistant with the trophies and top 3s since roman turned up and they dont spend anywhere near as much as they did in the begining. theyve just never accepted a manager since 'the special one'.

benitez sniffing around. would be a good fit i think.
and thierry henry could be back at emirates in january, again.

Fair point, they do seem to keep picking up trophies through the high manager turnover.
Rafa in until the end of the season

doesnt look like theyre changing their hiring policies tho. hes on a pretty short leash. contracted only until the end of the season, then IF he does well, a clause for a 1 year extension.
i like benitez tho. hope he does alright.

Rafa - wow. Terrible move, i dont think his defensive style working with Chelsea. I guess they are holding out for Pep next year.

Alistair is pretty quite this morning.....wonder why????:p
