Im not talking about nothing major, like cards not received etc

But more for minor issues ie.

-cards not packaged correctly (but wasnt damaged)
-paying 'goods' instead of the agreed upon 'gift' payment
-cards not exactly as described, condition wise (lower end stuff)
-piss poor communication
-members being simply a pain in the arse to deal with..

Basically anything that makes a transaction 'unpleasant'
I tend to let the minor things slide... especially when a seller has at least tried to resolve it
But when its one minor thing after another... you kinda start getting annoyed by it

So do u leave warranted neutral/negative feedback and perhaps risk any future dealings
with that member as they might take it personally?

Or do you just let it slide?

Never let it slide, I think that if people can't follow the rules then they should get a neutral or worst case a negative. Just look at a recent deal I did with a member, I left a negative and the other member didn't like it at all, even though it was, in my opinion, deserved.

Here are my thoughts.

-cards not packaged correctly (but wasnt damaged) Worth a neg. Rules are pretty clear.
-paying 'goods' instead of the agreed upon 'gift' payment. Surely this should have been dealt with before sending. No neg here - you should have checked it.
-cards not exactly as described, condition wise (lower end stuff) Shades of grey here - depends on how much difference there was in condition.
-piss poor communication No neg. People have lives outside of OCT and some people dont have the greatest skills with computers
-members being simply a pain in the arse to deal with No neg - to harsh for me.

Similar happened with me not long ago, agreed on a deal, payment was made to my paypal, received the email saying I had received funds so sent cards off and left positive feedback, later went and checked paypal, other member had short changed me and payed normal paypal so copped fee's as well, contacted said member about short payment etc and got ignored, (sent message while member was logged in). Simple contacted mods got feedback removed and changed to a negative. Other member then contacted me asking (whats the go?) and then tried to say had not been on, some members seem to forget the info about last visit is not hidden and think you are stupid. I am over the lowball offers etc here and am honestly thinking about leaving the site, seems to be about 50 children signed up now and just making ridiculous offers for cards.

I prefer to be upfront with the other party. If I am not happy in any way, I'll try to resolve it privately and amicably, with the understanding that nobody is perfect and honest mistakes do happen. In addition, you get a fair bit of newbies are don't fully understand the hobby or even the rules of the site. I don't really want to spoil the fun for them.

However, I get very annoyed when people get malicious or negligent when dealing in a trade. Those are the ones that crack me up.

It is really up to you to judge the matter. This hobby is about having fun, don't let small matters ruin your fun. :)

Completely understand this. As i also have family and work commitments.
But when you see that theyve read your message 24 hours prior, and have also had the time to participate in other
discussions on the site but not reply to your msg...that to me is what i mean by 'piss poor'

It doesnt take much to say "Hey bud, sorry bout that"

I am probably the worst with doing this! haha

I find myself checking a message on my phone, then having something come up that needs my attention (3 daughters will do that to you), then coming back and forgetting to reply. I do it all the time! lol

PS - did I end up replying to your last PM? haha *goes to check inbox*

WOULD YOU WANT TO DEAL WITH THEM AGAIN? I know I wouldn't

For an example of a deserved and an undeserved negative, have a look at this deal here

Dave

I agree with you leaving negative feedback, but one thing you might want to be careful about: Each card to be in a penny sleeve, always. It doesn't say each card has to be in a separate penny sleeve...mods might want to clear that up in the rules because as it reads it is acceptable to put more than one card in a penny sleeve as long as each card is in a penny sleeve.

Cheers Kyle, that is a direct copy and paste from the rules. Will ask the question but I think it is a given that each card is to be in its own penny sleeve, never hurts to ask though.

EDIT: Just replied to the appropriate thread for clarification.

Perfect example there of a deserved negative. But i see you got a retaliation one in return.
Im not trying to throw anybody under the bus or anything by starting this thread,
just trying to find out if members here are always honest with the "positive" feedback they leave.
