The Official 2012-13 EPL Thread

Great to see Winston Reid playing so well for the Hammers.

pretty impressed with all the boys performances lately. jussi is playing great. vaz te & nolan doing what they should. jarvis and taylor are solid. and tomkins maintaining the back.
if theres one player im still not impressed with its...well im sure you can guess. just read that in 7 seasons hes scored 45 goals. and that includes 2 seasons in the championship. never scored more than 11 goals in the top flight. now 7 games in london and nothing. not even an assist. why are people so patient with him when hes never really lived up to his hype?

RVP finally injured. nothing serious tho...

Very true - the whole team has been impressive...but especially at the back. I don't think you can fault Carroll's commitment - and he was out for weeks with his crook hammy. I'd love to see him come good...

/\/\ could never fault his commitment. in fact its the one thing i always praise him for. never gives less than 100%. its just his lack of overall skills i fault. his recent injury is no excuse for all his previous seasons lack of goals and assists...?

Are you telling me he's not worth the 35 million pounds Liverpool paid for him?? *straight face*

I can see why he committed to it, but the ball just held up too much. Didn't look good.

who was the left back? that was his ball all the way. but he left it because he saw hart. he had no business coming out for that ball. zlatan was covered and there was even a 2nd defender and a midfielder who wouldve been back in time if zlatan had to bring the ball down. for me thats a hart error, bounce or no bounce.
still an excellent finish tho. hes always been one of the most exciting players to watch...

rooneys overhead was better. anyone remember trevor sinclairs overhead?

rooneys was just your classic overhead. been done hundreds of times. at least this one was a little different. bicycle/lob/25yds out.
sinclairs beats rooneys tho.

EDIT: speaking of great goals -

reminds me of ronaldos goal (the real ronaldo) vs compostela...
