I know this kind of thing is sort of trivial but...

I need to vent about people who mark up cards because it is a card needed for my player PC, I'm not going to name names but it is happening on this site and it's frustrating me. I cannot believe people have the nerve to ask almost double the value of a card because I collect DeMarcus Cousins. Are people just greedy or are they genuinely stupid and assume I don't the going rate of DeMarcus Cousins cards?

Rant over.

I know I charge abit more if I am selling one of my pc cards, usually because I paid higher for it and for me to sell a pc card it has to be worth my while lol, but would never do it just to make a quick buck.

Oh no, I completely understand that.

What I'm talking about is, this guy has it as tradebait and wants double what it's worth.

That would be unfair if they did it because they knew you collected the player. I wouldn't give them the satisfaction to be honest, move on. Unless the card is very limited, you will have another opportunity to get another one.

simple solution: dont buy it if your not happy with the price

at the end of the day.. it's his/her card and he/she can sell it for what ever he/she wants. market value is just a guideline.. u might think it worth $20.. but the person might think it's worth $60. not happy.. move on.. I'd just let it go.. go on with life and reeelllaaxxxx lol I'm sure all of us have over paid for PC Cards .

When it comes to PC I don't usually mind paying $60 for a $20 card if I need it lol. But this is kind of a $300 for a $150 card kinda deal.

Don't worry, there are a couple of clowns on this site who think that their cards are worth gold. I have encountered a few myself. Just walk away from them if you don't think it's worth paying for it.

Yeah, I hate this too! I always sell my $60 cards of $20 and my $300 cards for $150! Oh, wait, I think I misunderstood!

You'd think it would be the other way around right? Like you would get it like 5 bucks cheaper because you collect him? That's how I see it anyway.

I guess people can ask what they want and if they are just out to make a bit of money i can't blame them. Might not be good for the hobby but like most places if the demand is high and they know they can charge more they will. Regardless i don't think any Demarcus Cousins card is worth $300 :p so maybe wait and try and get it cheaper somewhere else or until he realises no one will buy it at that price.

I actually would have thought it would be better for the hobby?

if people keep selling $300 cards for $150 then it becomes only worth $150 in the market...

these peopl out there that want high $$ for there cards are actually helping control the prices from dropping...
the ones that come in and undercut selling cheap are the ones doing the damage to the market prices....
