Harden crazyness

I love how the hype works in this hobby. Somebody has a few great games and boom, it's sell time. After a few months it goes back to normal or until the next hyped project comes along.

I've noticed jared has put more harden cards on eBay over the last couple of days... I know he sold a lot of earlier but hopefully he can make a bit on what he has left... While my harden pc wasn't a quarter as impressive as jared's I am regretting selling when I did! Luckily I still have a handful left that I think I will keep

hey fellas! lol

i did sell a portion of my PC during playoffs last year. yes the prices werent as high as they are now, but i still have quite a number of cards, including 10x 1/1s that im listing on ebay. so im not exactly missing out.

but yeah, im trying to sell off just about everything. im torn on a few, my exquiste gold and a couple of other high end autos.. but im getting prices on cards that only a week ago were selling for $20-30, that are now selling for $80-90!

some cards im taking slightly less than some others but im still making a killing. theory is that i need to sell them while he's hot, because inevitably his prices will drop back to reality.

plus the money has come at a good time, so it wasnt really a hard decision to sell up.
some of you have probably noticed that i havent been around as much lately, have had quite a bit on lately, so the money does help.

PS. im now a rockets fan. hahaha

Someone's ears were burning. Lol.

yeah the hype could die down or it could continue like westbrook last year when his card prices went from reasonable to ridiculous!!!

I have this /10 had it up for sale at $80 about a month back and didn't even get an offer, mite throw it on eBay now and see how it goes

Houston would have a massive Asian supporter base, due to Yao, yeah? So Harden's now joined a team with a massive international market, coupled with his solid start, you think a lot of the demand would be coming out of Asia? "Perfect Storm" kinda scenario!

Well its volume shooting, if your opponent takes 24 shots (with a fair few FT's) and scores the same amount you'd be happy. Those numbers will drop I'd venture to say as well... Back down to 20, 5 & 5 I'd hazard a guess at.

I just don't have a lot of respect for a man who wants so much money that his championship caliber team doesn't want to keep him. Enjoy fighting for the 8th seed and a best case scenario of a first round exit I say.

It isn't that straight forward!

He would have been a FA after this season and if any team offered him a max deal, OKC wouldn't have been able to match it! So it was best for both parties to leave now!

I don't think it is fair to condemn a player for that

Bought my Harden for approx $12-15 ultimate signatures and seen it sell for $18.
I tried my luck and put it on eBay for $37.95 sold in less then 10 hours haha awesome

adam's pretty much on the money here!
okc were not going to keep him, he wanted a max contract and probably wouldnt have worked in with the contract they offered him, shame he didnt stick around as they were championship bound soon! Still think they jumped the gun and could have got a better deal, martin is a great scorer but is oft injured and isnt a great defender!!! though jeremy lamb could still amount to something? im still not sold yet on whether harden is the franchise superstar that will carry them to greatness, yes he has had an awesome start to the season, but i can see defences adjusting for this, i am probably wrong here, but i dont think he is the next "big thing" time will tell i suppose...hype will die down soon...

You will have to forgive me for not jumping on any player who has a bit of hype about them initially. This is after all a discussion forum.

Sure he put up a couple of nice games together, but there isn't much other option on offence. Lin is still recovery from a serious knee injury and there isn't any other guy on that team who can score in bunches consistently. I think he'd put up worse numbers for the Bobcats as they have guys who can score, just know idea how to play defence or team basketball.

A bit harsh on the Harden talk some people are.

I too would've liked to see him stay in OKC but he obviously wanted to start and get paid what at the end of the day he deserves.

I agree, he'll be looking at best the 6th spot in the West with Houston.

Harden right now really reminds me of Gilbert Arenas when he blew up at the Wizards. Harden is going to get plenty of hobby love for a little while but yeah, sell, sell, sell right now while he's pretty high. He could go higher, but why wait?

Gonna be fun watching this guy though. He'll be a fantasy top 5 from now on I reckon.

Listed it last night starting at 0.99, been up for 12 hours and already at $49 with 8 watchers. Amazing what a bit of hype does
That's awesome!! Yeah gotta love hype!! I'm keeping my eye on Glen Davis at moment!! If he keeps it up... Might have to chuck my collection on eBay!! Haha
