Ud Blacks - I Bought At The Right Time

it makes your collection of ud black worth a fortunewho would spend that much when you don't know what you'll get back ? what does one normally sell for on e-bay as i am looking at buying one at the moment

I was getting mine in bulk lots for US$US$35-$40 each but now you are lucky if you get any multiple lots. The prices are starting to rise a bit, I did not watch them that hard but I think there were a few that finished at around the US$55. There is one auction at the moment with a BIN of US$65. And I think when these are released if they are good as they look they will go to what they were selling for when they first came out, and that was close to the US$100 from memory. I have taken the risk with getting all mine and not knowing what the cards will be worth but if they go off I will be sitting pretty. I hope you can get one.
Yeah I can't see him getting it and even if he could it must be risky buying the allready redeemed ones and trusting the seller to change them over to your name.
I seen somone describe these as a go between I think it was ultimate and exquisite do you think they will be this good or flop.

i think the way u redeem is pretty good.. you have very big chance of getting a good card.. from UD Black because the checklist has been pretty long one, i am pretty sure, u will score fantastic cards for sure..
UD black is hit or miss, that's why i didn't redeem since i can't afford to redeem at least 20 entries, coz i consider about 65% of the players will be valued less than we expected, and u have redeemed to cover that %... so, i would say, u will get like two or more high end cards when it's shipped.

Thanks for the good luck, when I decided to have a go at these I thought about how you pay approx. AUS$40 - $60 for a tin of SP signature edition and you got 3 cards, and except for 1 person everyone that I seen was a total flop. So I figure sure I will get some lesser cards but when even those are /99 I don't think I can go to wrong with what I get. One thing that I did get told by the UD guy when I rang them was that they have had some people redeeming upto 50 :shock: at a time so there are people out there that are going hard at getting these. It is going to be interesting and if you or anyone gets any unredeemed cards LMK as I am going to try and get more.

UD black is a good idea, but the way they are selling at $50 a piece, there will be some very disappointed people when they pull a cheapie GU..

When I said I brought at the right time, I was talking about how I was happy that if this is the way it ends up and people are paying around the US$100 each mark again now that they are getting closer to possible release. Then I did buy at the right time.
And yes UD BLACK is a good idea. But don't all products make some very disappointed people out there. I know that I would rather buy 20 UD BLACK cards at US$50 each and have 20 chances to pull something instead of paying US$1000 for 1 pack (5 cards) of exquisite, and still be very disappointed. So it does not matter if you are some little kid spending his $2 pocket money to buy a packet or some big spending collector paying $1000 for a packet anyone can be disappointed (and pull a cheapie GU). So I don't see what you are getting at....

we will have to wait and see
That is the problem with new products no one is sure how they will go until after they come out, all I know is these 2 things -
1, If they are a flop I gave it a go and no real harm done, except for a bit of cash, but as I said before that could easily been the case if I purchased some other boxes.
BUT
2, If these take off then I will be very happy and the risk will be justified.

Definitely, card collecting is about fun, luck and your involvement of product..i would try some boxes for breaking and enjoying what could have been pulled.. But we can see that the quality of UD Black is premium... and I heard it's 1 card per card right??? then, you only have odds of your redemptions/total players x 99 = your luck. All UD black will do is shuffle the cards into packs, not like EXquisite/Ultimate/SP signature edition odds distribution... so, that's pretty big chance to getting cool cards..
I am glad alot of people from Australia are getting them, so it's good for collectors to get some trades when they would like to trade at book value, consequently, creating more trades here, rather than buying from US who will have entire monopoly of UD Black, as I simply like to trade/buy from Australia compared to order from US (high postage/long awaits/poor communications/dodgy sellers).
Lastly, if you shoot one, u might miss, if you shoot ten, u might hit, but you are firing a bazooka, LOL you surely will hit something....

$15 grand exquisite is 225x99 chances.. and $15 grand only comes with 03-04 exquisite which retails about 5000USD..
I don't really see any cards close to $15grand in 05-06 AJ is referring as $1000.. so it's pretty much slim chance hehe... for me, i didn't redeem UD because I can't afford to redeem like AJ... and i didn't buy Exquisite box coz i can't afford to buy like others LOL...

Yeah you are correct, there might not be any $15,000 cards in it. But at around the $35-$70 a pack (depending on when you buy). I know as collector I would not say no to any of the following-
