Lil' advice? Ebay deceit..

I wouldn't send anything back until you receive the card you paid for. You can always lodge a paypal claim and leave appropriate feedback if he doesn't come to the party. Liars such as him ruin things for everyone else!

Hey there,


Just wanted to sort out what happened with this one? I watched many listings of this card come and go, waiting for one with a nice, clean auto on it. The reason I bought yours was for that reason, and your ad clearly states the item pictured is the 'exact' card you will receive. Yet, the one you sent out has probably the worst auto of the ones I have seen, clearly not the card pictured. Incomplete, runs off the sticker, and pen mark along the bottom edge.

Appreciate a speedy response.

Have up until November 2nd to sort it through eBay support, so will give a few days for a reply before continuing with anything else.

Not sure how that happened.. We scan all our cards, just look at our feedback. Im surprised to hear something now as this item ended over a month ago.. As with all our items, we offer complete satisfaction refund. Return it and Ill gladely refund your purchase price. Thanks J

Feel like mentioning that 4 weeks is the expected delivery time for regular post between US and Aus, and then point him to the eBay listing that they copied the image from as was pointed out here :)

Seems most have suggested to not follow his course of action, by 1- sending back now without resolution and 2- because he's suggesting I pay the return shipping. Maybe put up my photo of the auto on an anonymous single-image hosting site and refer him to it there too?

Thoughts on next step?
 
Well, at least he wasn't an arse about it.

Personally, I would not send the card back, first of all, it takes a couple weeks to reach the states so by then, your rights to an unpaid claim would vanish by then. Second, cost you most probably about $5 to send it back. You will still be out of pocket.

I'll copped it on the chin but leave the appropriate feedback so that it reflects accurately on the service received so far. But that is just me.

To return it for a refund, I think you would need to provide paypal with a DC wouldn't you? Otherwise he could just say it never arrived. In which case, it would cost more than it would be worth! But the seller knows that VERY well!

If it were me, I would just sell it off and buy another one! ;)

I think the FB would be removed by eBay! Because the seller offered a refund and 'followed the rules' then any Neg would most likely get removed!

I would leave a neutral and hope it stays!

At least he offered a refund. Though I would tell him it costs too much to return unless he was going to pay for it, so I'd ask for a partial refund otherwise.
