EBay Seller of the Month

e***n (10) 55 bids on 34 items 100% activity with this seller. Bit strange that someone with 10 feedbacks has decided to bid hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of dollars on this sellers items only including the last lot of scanlens items adonis listed!!!
o***f (15) 25 bids on 18 items 100% activity with this seller. Same that they would bid only on these 18 items plus 5 other items from this seller that were showing in their activity earlier in the week but have now exceeded the 30 days limit.

Hmmm. Interesting Geoff. One would not think you have to go to the effort odds shilling a set of the RL trading card holy grail.

Might just be bidders that is only interested in this early scanlens stuff.........or am I just being naive.

I will not name names and it is nobody on OCT but have heard from a reliable source about shilling with this seller. The arrogance when you talk to the seller in person makes it not at all surprising that shilling may be taking place

also the prices he wants for things in person are way too high, another reason to shill as it gets the prices closer to his expectations

I used to think that he was the ants pants after he listed and sold the 1970 series a few years ago, which were MINT and got $100 per card, but i have to admit that the standard of cards has dropped incredibly!

I'm sure no-one doubts he has AMAZING cards, I just don't trust him in my experience and won't buy cards on Ebay from him because of what I have experienced. Oh, I just remember I have another source who lives near me who knows him very well through toy collecting with not the greatest things to say. They actually classify each other as "friends"

Just to clear this up for everyone in this thread. Written into the rules you agreed to when you signed up:

f) Deceit in any form is frowned upon. For example, full disclosure and honesty of the condition and authenticity of patches or autographs on items is expected. Not doing so is considered deceitful behaviour. This rule extends past the realm of OzCardTrader.com.au eg eBay - shilling your own eBay auctions (shilling is bidding up an item you listed to get a higher final price by using another account you or someone you know owns to bid up the price). This is also considered deceitful. If it is discovered that you have knowingly deceived or ripped off another collector anywhere in the world, you will be suspended or banned from this site. You represent the site and the protection of our member's integrity is priority number one.

I'd suggest you read that very carefully, especially if you are shilling an auction up for your own entertainment, in particular the bolded part.

They do look sus I agree and I thought you would say that was your reasoning just seeing if you had more info. It's curious though that they have never bid on his comics. I did notice they also bid on the 1963/63 cards he listed earlier and their bids for the same cards are alot higher this time.
