Official NBA 2K13 Thread

if your a PG go to Portland. That's where I am, 10 games on, already took Lillard's spot. Plus I'm a scoring PG and last 2 games I've got a double double. 20 pts, 10 ast and 16 pts, 12 asts

Haha, Well. As I posted earlier I got traded to Toronto, 3 games later they trade DeRozan for Kemba Walker, which almost made me cry.

So I re-played the Rookie Showcase one last time, this time as an athletic PG, and got drafted #10 by NOH :D which is awesome because I only competition here is Greivis Vasquez and that douchebag Austin Rivers.

Nice work! I've been trying to go #1 pick to the Hornets.

Here was an attempt (had about 8) last night...

44pts, 6rebs, 9asts, 8stls, 1blk....

Needless to say, I WANT that #1 Draft Pick... ha ha

What cost me the pick, I'm sure of it, was the answers I gave the Hornets (I was interviewed by the Hornets, then Bobcats, then Wizards - 1, 2, 3), as the Hornets GM said he wasnt too impressed with what I said...

I'll repeat this game again soon, and try again.

If you guys want to earn quick VC without playing blacktop over and over again use a second MyPlayer account to rack up VC as seen below, it works nicely to get your player up to a respectable rating. I used it on my Centre and I'm up to 80 rating already 4 games in.

1. Save and Quit before the Rookie Showcase ends in the 4th quarter with a few seconds left.
2. Reload the Rookie Showcase
3. Finish game, GET THROUGH THE INTERVIEWS, and get to the Mock Draft where you get 400+VC for Game Performance Bonus
4. Quit the game and reload the Rookie Showcase.
5. Go to #3.

Here's an idea... Just earn VC/SP they way it's meant to be earned, by playing well in games and training drills then spending it wisely when you have it.

hahahahaha sounds like your frustrated doing it that way, you need to jump on the VC farming bandwagon.

I do it just so I'm on a level playing field with the other rookies, I'm a centre and you seriously need the speed and other key attributes just to compete as a centre.

Fair call... I'm a PG I already have the speed to compete.

You got Anthony Davis to compete with for ROY too

That's smart. Loopholes ftw!!

The amount of VC after each game is stupid, 2K is almost (daring?) forcing people to spend money on levelling up.

Remeber in 2K11/12 You'd get say 1,500-2,000 SP after a decent game (2x for Key Games) and that could get you quite a few upgrades. Where as now, you get around 160VC for a decent game (2x for Key Games), and that'll get you, well sometimes not much, other times a couple of things, most of the time, not much.

1v1 Black Top would be my choice, should take around 2-3mins to complete a game vs CPU (you can use a stud v spud too!). Rinse and repeat! Chris Smoove put a vid on YouTube of him doing it with Jason Smith, just let the CPU score, jack a 3, repeat.

This is true but it is also less expensive to upgrade stats this year... For example Speed used to be 4000-5000SP per upgrade this year it is 500-600SP so you do get about 10x less SP but everything is about 10x cheaper too in the way of stats.

Dunk packages etc. are expensive though.
