i did also read this:
save me another $50-60. He suggested going through a hungarian proxy at http://www.proxynova.com/proxy-server-list/country-hu/
That way the RRP for league pass changes from $220 USD to $140 USD, then add on the discount code to make it $120 USD.
You still go through the official NBA website to make the purchase though so its still secure.

Cheapest option I could find with a range of proxies was Canada.
If you use a canadian proxy, you can get their price of CAD $99.99, and then use the discount code to bring it down to CAD $84.99.
That's pretty much $85 AUD for the international league pass: reg season & playoffs :)

Thank youThank youThank youThank youThank youThank youThank youThank youThank youThank youThank youThank youThank youThank youThank you

Ps- more like $87.65 AUD ;)

Hmm price comes up in Canadian dollars for me but then goes back to Australian at checkout. Any ideas? Or what proxy address did you guys use?

Ah i give up for now, tried a whole lot of different proxy servers and when i go to the NBA site it recognises me as connecting from a canadian server and the price for the league pass is $99.95. But when i go to the next page to register it is $220...sigh. Will give a go tomorrow when i'm at home and have a more stable internet connection.

I've got a good free proxy program, I'll share when I get home, only downside is it seems to slow down my downloads, my question is this-

If I use a Canadian proxy to make the purchase, am I going to have to go thru the proxy everytime I want to view a game? Coz if this is the case I'm concerned about the download speed.

I would assume you would but on the home page of that site there is a programme you can download to quickly change proxies for this very reason I suggest.

Is league pass doing free trials this year? Would love to see how it all runs on a proxy before I commit to it

I'd love to know why us Australians are so ripped off by the NBA. I really want league pass to be able to watch the Wolves, but I cannot afford it and I am not savvy enough to go through proxies and such, and I would rather jus go with a fair priced aussie version. Hell I wish they offerred us the same 5 team option the yankees get.

Yeah i don't get how they can justify charging us $220 when Canada gets it for $100 and other countries also much cheaper...

Im pretty sure its not the NBA that hikes the prices. Im pretty sure its just more expensive to send data here because of our limited bandwidth etc. A lot of things like this are a lot more expensive here than in other countries. I had it explained to me one day, but I've totally forgotten lol

No its more an FU to our location and population. Being so isolated in a global sense we don't have the infrastructure coming into the country for massive bandwidth. However I do believe it has been increased in the last 12-18 months and it will be opened a lot more once the NBN takes hold.

These other countries have one thing in common..... Closely situated to one another and with 10x + the population we have so its more economical for better and more infrastructure and hence cheaper pricing. Just the one of the realities on living on what is essentially is a large island.

Last season they had a "Team Pass" option where you could subscribe to just your teams games and it was quite a bit cheaper as I recall; not sure if they're offering it this season though!?

hi guys i am from canada and had league pass last year. from my experience, I do not think the playoffs are included in the 99$ plan because they show the playoff games here through cable tv so everything is blacked out
