Must have been a BIG offer to tempt you. Which probably means you can buy almost anything you want (both in cards and real life items..) which is usually a great reason for selling...

Exactly mate. For some other priorities in life. Would rather see the cash in my bank acc rather than in form of cardboard sitting in a folder!

Im going through that stage now where money is more important then cardboard. Feels good having a couple extra K in the bank account.
 
Congrats mate! Be almost as sad for us to see it leave your hands! hahah! But like everyone else has stated, must have been a massive offer for you to part with it!
 
i have no problems as you why you wont disclose the amount ozballer......but i dont get why the hobby is like that? whats the issue with disclosing the sale price.....someone please fill me in
 
Well I guess it opens it up to people either saying "oh you did'nt get enough" or it can change the price of the set completely?

I would love to know. That card to me is almost priceless. THE card in THE set. Probably only the PMG green beats it.

I think 50k would even be a reasonable buy for that card.

Did you have any way of getting a value on the card Norm?

You must have had some offers coming in already for that stunner?

Based the sale price on past sales, grade etc. A few have been sold off eBay that I know of.
 
ozballer mate, i respect your opinion, but im only trying to make a point about this hobby and the wheeling and dealings of it.....people talk prices and advertise prices all the time......before the sale.
but when its after the sale, everyone is so tight lipped about it.....i just find it a little strange thats all. i personally have no problems with disclosing any prices.
I think its just one of those things in our hobby.

just a point of discussion, not trying to stir the pot here....
 
ummm, just read the last post - sounds like im criticising you ozballer mate, but im not, im just making a comment in general, dont take it personally
 
Nothing taken personally. If I had the buyers ok, I would gladly reveal the price, but it's not my choice to make. Yet at the same time I can't see why the sale price is so important to you and everyone else here? We all have a rough idea what it's worth.
