Am I A Rude Ebayer?

Aren't you able to set an automatic rejection on low offers? If you don't get that instant 'declined' message, I think any offer is fair game.

That's right, you can set up your sales so they automatically reject lowball offers or accept offers over a certain price.

I just wish to say on here for the record sorry as I have this wrong if a card is only worth $6 and you have made a offer of $5.

Yes you can automatic reject a offer most people don't do that .

And the last thing if I put on a signed boot for $125.00 and I have reject offers less than $99 and someone put in a offer of $5 are they for real or just wasting time,I get this all the time that is why most items I have are to buy now.

Yeah all good, you don't have to worry about saying sorry, it's all good from my end Corey.

for 1) i dont think you were rude
for 2) i think you were - decline and that should have been it.....
you suggested that they over-inflate the value due to jersey number AND showed them the sweet patch #/35

just reverse the situation here.....if someone declines my counter offer - fine.....if that same horses ass told me that i was overinflating the price and showed me another to compare, then i would be frickin pissed off about it - waste of fecking time

i thnk anytime your in a situation like this and have to ask fellow board members opinion - i thnk its important to reverse the scenerio and see how we'd feel if we were on the receiving end of it.

nothing personal - just my opinion

Thanks Tuan, but in that circumstance, if we revesed the scenario, and I was selling a card and wanted $30 for it, and someone showed me that it's obviously not worth that, and a realistic price is $5, I wouldnt be pissed off? I couldnt sell something for a price that it's not worth, when there's evidence to support it!

At the end of the day, someone's asking price is their asking price, and I just wanted to know if people thought I was being a dick by highlighting the prices in some cards.

I suggested the jersey number was an inflation for the cost, and to show them another Jersey Numbered patch was for educational purposes. I would understand if someone were to do that to me, and I'm being stright as an arrow when I tell you I would adjust my price to reflect a more reasonable fee.

I appreciate your feedback though, thanks!

i understand where you are coming from mate.....
BUT this person is already living in fantasyland when they ask for $30 for a card like that....so why try to convince an idiot otherwise.....therre is already something wrong with him. you cant change how stupid some people can be mate.

i believe you should move on, hence i thought you pointing that out was unneccesary

remember - its peoples' GOD-GIVEN right to be idiots - dont try to rectify that

trust me on this one - i have the privilge of seeing people at their worse on a daily basis

cant change people

Well you never know what crazy collectors are out there so why not put a high BIN price with best offer? Your offer was fair and I think 5-8$ for a Harris card would be a good offer.

BTW I still have this Harris jersey number 5/499

Thanks, I've since joined up on COMC, so I'll go have another look. Back when we were talking about it, I was a bit sceptical to buy via COMC.
