Yesterday finally busted a mailer that had the last 48 Bowman Celts I needed :D

Has taken ages to get this SP Chuck Halbert. I really want a psa version but I get around to paying out the $400US needed for one next year IF one pops up. All but one of my other 48 bowmans are graded too. Might just send this one in later on anyway. This card is from the second series of 1948 bowman which came on two sheets. The printing of the second sheet was stuffed up majorly and nearly half were destroyed. Hence the SPs from the second series can be REALLY hard to find. Took me three years to get an Arthur Spector one

Others in the mailday come care of our own Allstars who educated me on a sticker set I did't know existed and sent not only the two Celts variations but also the wax wraper! And I collect wax wrappers too! =D>

HUGE thanks mate and appreciate that!

Here's a scan of the back as they get no love and most wouldnt' see a 48 bowman back, it also fills you in on the guy a bit.

Pretty stoked to finally have at least an example of one that will do for now.

Nice work Chad...your maildays are always interesting.

Just a question....when you put them in the magnetic holders, how do you stop them from moving around??

Chad, thants a great mailday, I remember you saying how much you wanted to get this card!

I was a bit upset upon reading the back of the card that I wont be able to send in and get my #406 Emergency Red Signal Light. Saw that the offer has just expired! Damn!

Great addition!

Cheers
Matt

I'll get this graded for authentication purposes and it would pull only a psa 2-3 though :-( I'll have to simply wait and buy the higher grade one I want later on.

Each point carries a big increase. A psa 7 would be about $300US+ like I said and a psa 8 and above $450-800US

Mr Hill will know I passed one up the other week for $350US in psa 7 condition :-(

Great work chad. Those stickers are neat.Have not seen those before.
Need some education on those ,want to share what you know about them?

Great Pickup's Chad...Love the 1948 Bowman they are so cool.Bet you are wrapped that you finally got the last celts one.

I havent seen a back of a Bowmans until now,I always wonder what they might have written on the back.
The stickers are neat and to get the pack aswell, what a great pickup.

great mail day !!!!!

cheers Tracy
