2012 AFL Off-Season Thread

Compensation picks ruin the integrity of the draft IMO.....it will be even worse once we see teams getting picks for losing free agents.

Na mate I disagree, if your team invests in a player and that player decides to leave then I think it's fair that you should recieve some sort of compensation. Eye for an eye is fair

Yeah mate he's gone, sorry to say but I'm positive he'll leave the crows for GC. That would make it two losses for you guys!

Nah it's only one loss for us and while I'm a bug fan if Kurt's we can cover his loss with the developing josh Jenkins and players like tom lynch and Shaun McKernan to a lesser extent. Knights was really good for us on 10 an 11 but with players like patrenko, callinan, porpz, wright, McIntyre and the handful of midfielders and half back flankers we have that float forward and are genuine goal kickers his spot was just swallowed up and his game day chances dried up.... Plus his form was all over the place!!! With or without tipper the crowd are still a genuinely good side/list that are young and learning with every game!

Yeah mate you make a good point. when a player leaves it Gives a younger player a opportunity, McKernnan has looked good at times and so does Jenkins. Key forwards give me the shits with their inconsistency. It's regarded as the hardest position to play but how hard can it be when your 200cm and 100kgs.

200cms and 100kgs doesnt make you kick straight ;)

I hope that St Kilda cut their losses re: Brendan Goddard. The reported $700,000 per year for 4 years is something they would do well to stay away from. I think they would be better served injecting more dollars into younger players - if Essendon want to waste $2.8m then that's their problem, it will be the biggest waste of money since the Tom Scully recruitment by GWS.

Not to mention falou! It makes me wonder how smart some people are

Port Adelaide's Troy Chaplin has nominated Richmond as his preferred club and the paperwork is with the AFL at the moment according to Chaplin's manager, Liam Pickering

Some more rumors going around
