Yeah I remember that time! The people on this forum are fantastic and it gives me some perspective too. What I am going through is um I dunno mental/emotional/however you class depression and I know I coul dhave had things harder. That said i will not trivialise depression, from my own experience i know i can destroy lives.

Cost me my girl, my job (well its my theory cause i was up front with them and then despite being one of the best at my job inexplicably not given another contract while less competent people were kep on), my motivation to play sport and almost my desire to collect.

I didn't read anything besides a few posts from the first page.

But to reiterate AJ, I find it very difficult to get trades going on here myself. I have had to hound people to get trades done, even when its me selling for their wantlists at decent prices.... I've given up on putting my wantlists out there as its pointless, no one is interested in telling me they might have a Okafor or Ceballos I need and I'm on the generous side when it comes to offering for cards.

eBay and COMC are far better markets to deal with, just make your bids, pay and get it shipped, you don't need to make 12 pm's to work out a deal over a week.

I love comc - I just cant afford comc without selling here first - thats why i try to trade :) Comc I buy a little from each month, and get shipped every few months.

I had one deal take over 3 weeks of pms! But the negotiation is all part of the hobby, and wouldn't be fun without it! :)

Well I just sorted my first trade on Blowout Cards forum they don't even do up a sale thread or anything, everything is behind closed doors...sorta like the Freemasons Guild of ye olden days.
 
It's the most efficient card selling/buying site on the world wide web kiddies send them an e-letter via carrier pigeon for more information.

Edit: Should say card related selling/buying site, that old stock market might be a bit more sophisticated.
 
unacceptabe lack of posting in this thread in the last 28 minutes... so I will just say... I am watching random TV that is on after the Rugby league Grand FInal (well done Storm) and find myself fascinated by house husbands LOL
