So decided to sell off a few card on eBay and the username above keeps offering $ for Hulk relic card I have.

He wanted it with postage included said happy to do postage at $3 instead of $5 as he's in Australia. Wrote my terms on my counteroffer and he accepted. Now he is msging me saying he wanted free postage and to fix it up for him. Damn ppl piss me off lately.

This hobby has changed in the last 6-12 months lots of greed and lowballers rather than collectors I'm happy for ppl to negotiate and get a bargain but the amount of w..Ks is getting crazy.

Anyone else finding this lately? Anyone know this Stevo character?
 
Got told hes a member on here. Sent him a message guys. Would love to hear what you guys think about the hobby as of late. It's members etc.

Believe we need to stomp out the negative in this hobby and make the positive more relevant. Alot of guys I know and respect in the hobby thinking of getting out due to the crap that goes on.
 
Point him to the counteroffer. I've been having a pretty good run of it last 12 months so I can't complain, those i'm dealing with seem quite reasonable.
 
You have to pay for the post pack and postage, so it's only fair that you get some of that back. He shouldn't be trying to weasle his way out of postage.

for the cards we have got,then to have someone come along and lowball you
...but some of them are real good lowballer's:lol: .im at the point now i will not reply

im pretty happy here ive made some great mates, and also some great buys/trades, if i find a k love card on here im normally pretty happy to pay a good $$ for it, and people no that i love my love cards:confused: , im not here to make money im here cause it gets me away from day to day life and gives me a place that most people understand my passion. ive had some trades that havnt work because of greed and things like that, but its like life, most people are good deal with so dont let the 1% of people rub you the wrong way and push you away from what you love to do..........hang in there mate:thumbsup:
 
Yeah don't get me wrong I love most of the collectors on here and always happy to help someone out if I can but seems more and more greed and w..Ks coming into the hobby.

Ive had some great trades and have a few good mates on here. Guess its my background that I like to close bad things down before they get worse lol :)

I slowed/stopped 12 mths ago this is not a hobby anymore to about 75% of people , these day's the ratio's from collector to flipper is 75% flippers to 25% collectors.

I already have enough business's already, i wanted this as hobby but where there is money there will be leeches close behind.

I must say that OZcard and it's members here are the best out of all the collecting world maybe a few bad seeds but for the most part the most respectful and down to earth guy's are here .
 
You should point out to him that by accepting the offer he entered into a contract with you under the terms stated as such, including paying $3 for shipping. He can either complete the deal or have a non-paying bidder strike leveled against him along with an investigation by the eBay fraud team.

As for the state of the hobby, there's always been sharks in the water, it's just a lot easier to scam and lowball people now with the internet. There's a lot of people out there, myself included, who flip to pay for their collection. I'm proud to say that I've built the vast majority of my Jeff Teague collection with flip profits. That being said, I try my best not to lowball people. I look for deals and talent, like where you can buy an unpeeled MJ finest mystery for $3 and sell it for $20 or you buy a Blake Griffin Auto for $55 and sell it for $200. If you love the hobby and you know what you're doing, you can make PLENTY of money without having to pull the wool over anyone's eyes.

Def wise words there. Yeah exactly what I told him he accepted my counter offer doesn't matter what he offered me as I declined. This is not just targeted at him either a few ppl giving me the shits lately.

I have no problems with people flipping cards here and there to make a few $$ but the ones who offered you $20 for a $50 card then when you want one of their $40 cards the card is $50 because it's RARE lol.

Happens all the time. There's a guy kiwijrr or something like that, he will buy a card and turn around and relist if for 3 times the price with OBO. He sits on cards for years because he always wants more than the market. For those guys, I try my best not to do business with them and if they have something that I want, I have no problem being patient and waiting them out. They're the ones loosing money tied up in a card that they're asking too much for. If they don't like my offer, that's fine, I'll take my money somewhere else. Let them try and screw over someone else. If you're lucky enough to be members of message boards like this and Hobby Kings, then you can better protect yourself. Unfortunately, with the way things are, you have to look out for yourself first in this hobby.
 
Naming another person 20112011mick. Friend off mine just sold him something and has answered his messages or paid him for an item. Anyone know him???
