NBA Vids/DVDs

Couldnt find a general discussions on NBA vids & DVDs, lemme know if there is one, and/or merge this with them.

Was at our local shopping centre tonight (pre-ordering NBA2K13), and called by Sanity, as I'm trying to find a copy of Sir Charles on DVD (my old school VHS simply won't work in my Blu-Ray player, LMAO!).

Anyways, they had a couple of vids, that were of interest;

Greatest Moments in NBA History - 60th Anniversary Edition - Was $21.99, picked up for $14.99
NBA A-Z NBAs Best Bloopers, Highlights & Hijinx - Was marked $39.99 (OUCH!) I asked them to check, and see if it was a mis-print.... YUP! It was only $20 bucks.


Havent watched yet, but they look pretty cool.

They had a KG one too, didnt know he had his own DVD. They also had a Knicks one, looked to contain a few discs, it was about twice as thick as a normal DVD cover.

Anyone picked up any bargains lately, or recommend something???

I have been chasing classic MJ games on DVD for the last 6 months, i have got all the offical NBA games and documentaries, but alot of people say "Pontel" is a good place to get just about any NBA game....
As for NBA games....
If you have a look at their site, i'm sure you will find plenty of games of KG or anyone else your after...But they aren't cheap!
I have got a few from pontel, but i find it hard to believe they are licensed to sell them, as you are not allowed to buy and sell them on ebay?...
Anyone else confirm this?

What we REALLY need is ESPN CLASSIC channel in australia, as that channel always has heaps of NBA doco's and classic games!!!

Yeah was more after a topic on collaboration DVDs from NBA, not Pontel or copied stuff lads. Trying to see if anyone's got any recommendations, etc.


The A-Z one I picked up, watched a fair bit of it last night, got to around S or something I think. Pretty funny. E was a segment on Emergency Room players, ie, players who get taken back to the rooms for a stitch, or something. Should have seen the highlight mix on Steve Nash. Dude had broken nose (or cartledge dislodged, etc), black eyes, cuts all over him. ha ha.

I picked up the NBA'S Greatest 100 Plays!!!
Its broken down into 10 diff catagories its not bad actually brought it online for about $10 brand new!!

You should check out iTunes as well. They're not DVDs per-say, but you can buy a lot of great games on there and the NBA is working on expanding their library as far as I know. I've got about 20-odd games but they are mostly recent, like the 08 Beijing Gold Medal Game, 2010 Finals Game 7, 2012 Finals Game 2, etc.

Got the Rockets v. Knicks Finals series via download as it was $100 from resellers
