In light if Billyhoyle's idea to get the 'good deeds' thing going again, I thought I would share this with you guys as well.

I have always been one to share it around, if I can afford to. So I have on dozens of occasions, sent out free cards to people that would appreciate them. Most if the time, they weren't much, to me, but were to the recipient. I always say "just pay it forward" and do it to someone else one day, just like what Andrew is encouraging!

Well, a couple of Karma stories for you:

1 -

In December last year, I sent some $$ to someone that needed it at the time, with the intention of getting a card back for it whenever we got around to it.

In January, we decided on the card and it was posted, but never arrived! (this is funny because the only other time I have had a package go missing is from the same guy, on my VERY FIRST OCT deal). After he made several attempts to try and send me some $$ back or some cards to replace it, I managed to convince him to just let it be as it wasn't his fault.

Although, I did have to look around to find a picture of the card and lie to him and say that I did receive it (*evil laugh*).

Anyway, last week, I get a message from him again, saying that he went to the PO to pick up something and they told him they had something else for him - a ripped bubble mailer.

When he posted it, there were a few cards in there, because he chucked in some extras like the cool dude he is, but there was only 1 card still in the torn envelope!

This one:

Yes, that's right! 8 months later, it rocks up!!

Can you believe it???

Next one!

I saw a break on here yesterday where someone new busted the last 2 RC's I need for the 12-13 Prestige set, as they are pretty hard to collate. I asked about the 2 cards and received a PM from him saying that he would give them to me and refused to even allow me to pay for post!

Pretty cool hey??

It gets better!

I was driving back from the PO today and saw an alert come in on my phone from a PM from the same guy. I checked and it said "just sent the 2 RC's, should get there Monday... Regards, Trent"

I thought "Trent"?? Then looked down at the envelope I had just picked up and saw "Trent" as the sender.

Damn that was FAST!! hahaha

No really, here is the contents:

One of only 2 (I think) Blair cards I still need from 10-11 Update, which I asked about in his break thread last week, but completely forgot about!

Can you believe it?? A NEW member, that I have had very little contact with, asked elsewhere to get my address and send me a Blair auto!

What a guy!

After threatening him with card Karma, I decided to post this up to show exactly how good this community is compared to other forums, also, how a 'cheap auto hit' to one person, is an unreal PC card to another!

Peace!

OCT is the best, it always seem that there are far more douchebags and scammers in the hobby than good guys, but the reverse is true here!
Love the forum, wouldn't be as into the hobby without it.

It is funny how the second guy sent you a card of a scrub though. I mean, who would ever want that card?!?

Hopefully someone wins lotto from all the good stories on here. I have one ill share too. About six months ago a member brought this one to my attention

It was off an asian site that was difficult to communicate with. He was going to have a go at it but didnt. So i got it and promised it to him the day i sold up. The price he offered me was more than what i paid for it so i threw in a /10 auto to make up the difference.

^^^^^^ That's amazing! Well done Spurlec, what a great thing to do.

Glad you are happy with the card drob even though it's certainly not of the quality of the one above!

But the satisfaction of making someone's day far outweighs a few $$$ in return.

I have been impressed with the OCT community in the short time i've been here and generosity and comradery shown by all.

I have sent out another thing or two and would send out more if I had the right top loaders etc to ensure they would arrive safely.

Whilst the generosity of giving is great, the fundamental of trading on this site is what it's all about.

Cheers
