Quick fill-ya-in....
I bought a stack of 22 Harris cards before we moved, and they all turned up in a team bag, in a bubble mailer. No other protection, etc.
I left the Seller a Neg straight up, on the following grounds:
* I received 21 cards
* ALL corners were f-cked
* I couldnt be arse trying to work a refund
I pretty much got a retaliation back straight up. No probs, I took it to Ebay in hope (yeah right) that they might have some sort of a back bone, and suspend his arse... NOPE...
I even (again, yeah right) tried to see if they'd do anything about the Neg I got, nope nothing done there (not like I REALLY thought they would).
Anyways, I requested their personal info, in hope that they'd maybe shit emselves a little, and offer to withdraw it... NOPE... wrong again.
I then proceeded to file a PayPal claim on the grounds they were not as originally described, and that they were damaged.
I have since been going back and forth with PayPal, and hence what I'm going to share with you, will provide a little knowledge with everyone.
Basically, PayPal tell me I need to have a grader (or similar qualified 3rd party) assess the cards, and provide a "document" stating my case.
Hmmmm, not sure who in Tassie, let alone Australia, would be able to help me with that....
I've tried to explain my situation but nope, here's PayPal's response:
My Response:
As you can see, unless I can get to the US in a few days, and back again, and then post off the "document" my case will be closed.
I will make mention that this is over $8 bucks.
Now don't get me wrong, it's not the cash I'm concerned about. I'm just pissed at the seller for leaving a retalitory neg, and feel this is the best way to kick the prat in the nuts, just like he f-ckin deserves.
I've got a 2nd Ebay account, and am just waiting for them to post up multiple sales, in which I'll try my best to buy up all I can, in return for negatives.
End Rant. Nothing more needs to be said.

Dear Scott Godfrey,
Hello my name is Matt, I will be happy to assist you with your question
regarding your account.
I appreciate your inquiry. Unfortunately, we are not able to accept a scan
of the items in question. You will need to go somewhere like collectables
shop that sells sports cards, or somewhere to get the items appraised. I
understand that you are stating that there are no places like that in your
area. I'm really sorry Scott, but without evidence from a 3rd party we will
not be able to decide in your favor.
Please let me know if you need further assistance.
Sincerely,
Matt

My Response:
Thanks Matt,
So in other words, I've paid for some cards, the seller has done all they can to ensure the cards COULD get damaged, as it's happend, and now you want me to fly to the United States to have my cards inspected for damage, and then you want me to provide you with the documents in which will state my case?
How does this "Buyers Protection" protect my purchase? It clearly doesnt....
Regards,
A very UNHAPPY,
Scott Godfrey
