Here's who I'm keen on watching this coming season:


#1 Pick - man, looks like he's going to be awesome, cannot wait to see how he goes out of the gates with the Hornets. And teamed up with Rivers who I am fascinated with.
NBA Comparison: Kevin Garnett/Marcus Camby

#7 Pick - draft stock dropped a bit but I think he could be a consistent player with a long career.
NBA Comparison: Glen Rice

#10 Pick - see above. So many doubters I think it's gonna fuel this guy big time.
NBA Comparison: OJ Mayo

#15 Pick - was impressed with a workout vid I seen and keen to see how he would fit in Philly. Unfortunately was included in the Dwight trade and went to Orlando which I didn't like, so see how that goes and how much playing time.
NBA Comparison: James Posey

Fear the brow! Think he'll be more of a statistical Kenyon Martin.... Barnes is a worker so I hope he gets some burn. I think Rivers and Harkless will underwhelm in their rookie campaign but time will tell! Time to start up the next rookie crop thread!

Brow is one of the stupidest gimmicks in a long time lol. One of the vets should shave him while he's asleep on the team bus one day!
I think a lot of people are hoping Rivers fails! And I don't think Harkless can be underwhelming since there are no expectations

Rivers will be so much better than Mayo IMO. You can't really compare him to any NBA player past or present because he is so unique. I've been waiting to see him play since I saw his hoopmixtape a year or so ago. I don't like the fact that he gets criticised so much for not passing and being selfish because he is a really talented scorer and thats what he should stick to.

I think rookies are the worst off in the players salary agreement. Most of them are given 3 years contract with an extension at the option of the club, and minimum salary unless you are a top 3 pick.

Thought Davis went well in the Olympics when he got a chance as well. No pressure Bball for him, but still got a heap of nice blocks and a few nice points. Put a bit of beef on him, pluck a few hairs and he will be great to watch.
