Hi guys

The card god has spoken and with more than 90% in favor of me visiting a card store really more sooner than what I originally planned for, I decided to visit the closest store from disneyland. I am into day 4 of my USA trip, after a morning visit to Disneyland, Anaheim, I made my way to Three J's Sportscards store. Just a hint, for those who are staying close to Disneyland, all you need to do is to take the ART (Anaheim Resort Transportation) bus no. 11 and stop at Holiday Inn. It is only a short walk from there.

The ambience was that of a local neighbour store with a friendly one to one communication with the owners. That is what I got exactly with Joe Shelton ( who runs the store with his dad, John). We chatted for a good half an hour on the hobby direction on how it differs between the sports. Through the conversation, it is obvious that Joe had an intensive knowledge of the card hobby especially baseball and American football. Very impressive knowledge indeed!!! 3 J's also does a fair bit of gaming cards such as Yu-Gi-Oh and MTG with regular tournaments conducted weekly.

I have attached a picture of myself with his extensive range of products displayed shelf by shelf, case by case. Prices are also reasonable, for example, he charged me only $2.50 for a 360pt ultra pro magnetic case. Too be honest, I really thought that was extremely good value for money. I would definitely hit him up for more orders when I get back to Australia.

So if any of you are heading down to Disneyland, Anaheim, i really recommend a trip to this neighborhood card store. Their service is impeccable and always with a smile. Their website is www.team3j.com

Moving from here, this first visit is just a warm up exercise for me. I have yet to attempt a box bust yet in America. I am very tempted to have a crack at a box. Again, would just like to ask the card god for advice. I am sort of torn between Panini or a retro brand (like UD, topps, fleer, skybox, etc). I'm still very much in a holiday mood, so like you guys to decide for me. Any comments appreciated.

Over and out. Cheers Alex

The prices in the US are usually MUCH cheaper than here, so I would probably buy whichever one gives you these biggest savings on what you would have to pay here!

Ah nice oen Alex, now I know where you vanished to haha.

When you visit these card shops try to find me that elusive boris diaw signature approval haha and those annoying 2007-08 fleer cards in my want list lol.

Hi Adam, spot on. Definitely will be getting some stuff here. Funnily, it is not just cards that are cheaper, the overall cost of living here is much lower than Australia like clothes and food.

i haven't been to a card shop in like 18 years, even if you don't buy anything (but u so should) those butterflys would be awesome and hard to put a price to have that feeling again.....
p.s. sorry about the ufc 151 mate

hey you should check out a few local pawn shops aswell might be some random cool stuff
