ESP Release on Ebay

I'm looking forward to grabbing the sig cards off eBay ... I don't think they look as bad as some do.

But yeah, the set seems like a slight disaster ... I don't see a lot of kids buying packs at $8 a pop, either.

I just hope it doesn't set ESP back on future releases.

Hahaha look at all the turn coats.

Be honest esp havent got one single thing right with this release

Patchs that arent jersey numbered
Pack price
Ratios
Selection - dual hindy and hargreaves :/ wtf

Rip nrl cards

Nah i see the fact that they are doing patches straight up as a given for game used coming soon.
Thats why i am going to give them the benefit of the doubt on this one.
Sharks for the PC thats it.

Girds wants to collect these for the rest of his life.

The selection of big name sig cards in this set owns anything Select has come up with since the 2004 Captain Sigs. Patch cards are a good indication that game used is in the pipeline.

Sort out the ratios and print run and they'll be away.

I don't quite get your point of view though, do you want ESP to fail, coz if they do nobody will have anything to collect (except the Telegraph cards). I find it weird that it seems like you want that to happen ...

select will come back if theirs no competition they will get the license back for the same price they had it at before

The thing I find funny is that they want to get people buying packs rather than single cards yet what they are doing is going to have an entirely opposite effect....higher pack prices with less inserts will lead to people avoiding buying packs and waiting for case busters to pick up the singles they want.

I feel it will be like this for the first stop gap release until they ramp up production for season 2013.

Bingo. However in their rush to get a product out on the market they may just shoot themselves in the foot.

Still excited about the jersey cards - will not be buying boxes or cases though.

alright so what does everyone think the game used balls will sell for IF any are sold...
another question to those people who may be getting packs/boxes/cases will you hold onto the card or sell
i personally cant wait to see this as it is near impossible to get a game used REP ball especially from the origin

Looks like it's the case and pallet busters they are after, If it wasn't for this site I would not know that ESP exists or that this first release was going to coming out, at least with select they had a websit that you could view and read about their products.

At the moment it's sad to see what's coming out for your dollar, they have the 5 year contract, no competition, history from Selects releases, information from this site, google and a calculator all they need now is use this information with a bit of common sence and deliver.

They have taken the road in making NRL cards, which road they take is up to them, they can't blame anyone if they fail but themselves, I hope they do well for the hobby sake.

i think the game used origin ball could sell for anything. this is a highlight. It is a money cant buy item. It does not matter if u have $50,000 a games used origin ball is usually never for sale.

these could go for anything.

I will not be buying boxes, Ill just buy a comon set on ebay and the sig cards i want

From what I've read Select say, they didn't even put a bid in on NRL this time around, so I can't see that happening. They said in their q+a last week that they just want to focus on AFL now.

I can't see anybody not buying boxes or cases next year though, based on this release (if next year it's more appealing).

I think they'll learn quickly from this if it doesn't work so well, any company worth it's salt would do.

Match used balls will be name your price.

i rang them to ask about replacing two damaged inserts i have and posed the question, basically they werent the only bidders for the license and the nrl tried to basically do the card license deal like what their doing with the tv deal. and select just pulled out and let esp have it.

but if esp are a flop which to me they are heading completely in that direction. then select might come back and take the license.
