Yes, as Big Kev would have said 'I'm excited!' Why? Because this is easily the best card in my PC and the only card where the missus let me blow my single card budget.

I'll keep you waiting in suspense guessing what it is while I go through some fo the lesser additions.....

AK47 is back too - another new T-Wolf, this guy used to be a defensive beast and this is my SP Threads Patch tribute!

...which gives me this insignificant and meaningless achievement (which I like looking at)!

And lastly a nice big patch of the latest Nugget #25/25!

So without further ado, heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeere we go!

This beauty is slabbed..............

Only rated a 7 but Near Mint.............

One slightly dodgy edge and way off centre..........

Gotta say it's a pretty damn good feeling having this card in hand and before anybody dares ask - there's no way in hell I'm breaking this slab!

Thanks for looking and comments always appreciated!

For the Adelaide guys hopefully I'll see you at the trade day!

Love the patches Skip. The Big O is awesome  , do you not want to set it free for fear or damage or you like it graded?

Wow Skip, that Oscar RC is superb! Yeah it's off center but it looks pretty damn sharp otherwise!
Maybe I'm excited because I've had a few, or maybe it's because we just won a gold medal in kayaking, but woooooo this is a cool maildaY!!

Nice Big O mate I can break it open for you :)
See you tomorrow mate

Yes, hopefully I can raise some funds to help pay for it! lol

There are a few reprints and fakes floating around and the value of these vintage cards is all very much tied into condition of the card. So having it slabbed and graded gives a degree of confidence if I need to resell plus there aren't that many floating around in such condition 7 is rare and the best you could reasonably expect to get is an 8. So no breakout is on the cards!

Yeah, schmick corners and a good surface, left edge is a bit underwhelming and obviously off centre but not too far away from an 8 I'd think.... But having said all that it's probably the beer talking, right?

Congrats!!! Provided it arrives, was actually sent and isn't lost in the mail - my all time greatest goal will come true in the next week or so so I can totally appreciate what you have done there with the Oscar - congrats! PS PM me with the cards you have for me LOL

Some really nice cards to start with but what's up with that last card..no fake patch, no sticker auto and no really easy to chip foil edges.

All joking aside that is one awesome pc addition..now to let Brett bust it free

Did you just win this on the bay, mate!
Because I was watching the same card I think haha.
Bloody awesome Oscar.
And you know what, those Attles and Cartwright autos are straight-up insane, not easy to get autos from these two!

I reckon Bill Cartwright must have big hand - his auto looks shaky trying to fit on that sticker;)

On a serious note - that BIG O vintage is out of this world. Wise decision for getting the graded version as you said it serves dual purposes - card protection as well as authentication to ensure genuine article inside when comes to vintage.

Well done on epic pick up Skip:wave:

Well we sorted out the T-Wolves stuff - look forward to seeing your holy grail item too!

Nice Big O RC!!! Some nice smaller additions too mate!

Cheers Ian - some decent small fry items but pales in comparison tot he almighty Big O!

Thanks Garth - sometimes the original simple cards are the best and most meaningful. If anyone dares to bust the card I'll be busting their chops!

amazing pickups mate....that tag was mine

All these cards were somebody else's at one point! lol Might end up with you one day again - weirder things have happened!

Some of the older guys are signing more and more but Attles and Cartwright aren't among them - picked up the Big O a while ago and there have been a few graded ones available lately, just took ages to ship.

That's one helluva card! Congrats on spearing your whitewhale! Looks fantastic mate!

Yep, dare say that's the last big ticket item I'll be getting in...but it was definitely worth it!

what a "patchy" thread...lol...very nice as always skip....love the bigo, great pick up

Thanks Aram, that single card makes my Oscar PC legit! Love looking at the patchy eye candy too!

Spot on Henri - protection, graded to avoid any speculation and also helps preserve card value.... I can understand why you have so much graded stuff now! heh

Always great to see someone ecstatic at getting something they've been wanting forever! Great stuff mate, epic addition and I wouldn't be busting it either!!

Thanks Matt - it's a great feeling - there's only one other card I;d drop some serious dough on and I've never seen it or know if it actually exists - the LArry Bird / Bill Fitch dual auto..... I hear ya re busting out, what kind of insane basketball card enthusiast would want to break this beauty out!!

come on say it with me everyone...

bust it out

bust it out

bust it out

bust it out

...um, perhaps you'd better not read the post above! J/k, looks like you're outnumbered here Slobby! ....and I bet your PMG Green is still well and truly 'slabbed'! Not that those cards compare in value, well, sentimental value perhaps!
