Ha ha, I was saying this to Adam just the other day!! I reckon it's the fact that we're all dedicated collectors, and appreciate someone going to such lengths to get their white whale as such.
Sure, Adam could race out and buy the one on Ebay, but what fun is that!! ha ha.
I have a feeling we will get a 9 - 9.5 on the centering, but the rest is a wild guess for me at this stage. Going off the scans you won't be able to tell the surface and edges properly.
The idea of the first 2 is to hope they vary in the subgrades, so we have some good examples of what will grade high, then try to bust one with similar features in all 4 categories!!

So..... Been a fair while since I updated the progress! Actually, been a long time since I made any progress! Haha
I have been extremely busy at work lately, as well as taking 2 weeks holiday with my kids, so I haven't really been doing much on the forums at all. In sure all the guys I was dealing with can testify to that! Haha, sorry for any delays!
Anyway, as well as me being busy, my mate in the US has been just as busy with his music career, launching an album, do he had some big delays getting the first 'tester' cards submitted to BGS for me.
In saying that, the first bunch of cards have now been at BGS for about a week, and yes Steve, the have received them! Lol
I asked him to also send in any other cards that looked in great shape that people might like, such as MJ base an all star inserts, along with some other RC's. But I don't know which he ended up submitting!
At this stage, I am hoping for a 9.5 RC this time around, and then I will be buying that case!!!

So out of the first 'tester' box, we pulled 4 RC's. 2 of them looked to have some pretty good centering, so we submitted just those 2 at this stage.
Just a few minutes ago, I got the results report back and both cards received the same grades....
Centering Grade: 9.5 - Yes, that's right, 9.5 centering!!!
Corner Grade: 9.0
Edges Grade: 9.5
Surface Grade: 9.0
So overall Grade of 9, which I think is pretty bloody sweet! Considering this was just a single box to test.
To help understand how good a 9 is, I did a Pop report on the graded ones so far and there have been 1383 of these submitted for grading, with only 1 getting a 10, 88 getting a 9.5 and 288 getting a 9.
So I know have 2 out of the 377 worldwide that graded 9 or higher!!
I know that grading is very subjective, so once the cards are received back, I will post some pics and get opinions on whether you guys think it is worth resubmitting for a chance at a 9.5!
