Hi everyone,

Anyone have an idea on what the Black League Leaders St George Captain Ben Hornby Numbered #02/50 would sell for?

It has been pulled (just not by me!)

I said to the person who pulled it that it might go for a bit? Anyone care to have a stab at possible sale value?

Cheers
Matt

I would still say between 150-200 range as for the number I don't think it would matter much as dragon supporters will be just happy to have the card maybe if you find the right collector who likes low number but reading other comments on similar questions on this forum jersey number of player seems to be preferred. But be interested to hear what others think

As a Dragons fan I wouldn't pay that much more for the low number - maybe $10-$20 more.

But it only takes two people to ramp up the price - I'd be putting it on eBay immediately

The reason why the low numbers especially this one numbered to #02/50 is that select keeps the first card for themselves. So essentially this is the lowest numbered card available.

Id say it'd go for a fair bit more than the usual price.

Some may remember i pulled a Trent Merrin Top Prospect from 2011 Strike numbered #002/300, the card usually goes for around $30 - $40 but this particular one snagged me $150 on eBay through bidding.

I was going to say bloody stupid Dragons supporters but being a low number could easily just be an avid collector.

The Hornby#2 Black League Leaders would definatley fetch a premium in my opinion.

I ended up putting it on ebay matt. see how it goes. Do select keep the first one of these as well? I know for sure they do with the signature ones

I was also lucky with a 006 kurt gidley, thats a good one because thats his jersey number for most of his career. I havent noticed if this generates as much interest as a low numbered card.

My Black League Leaders Ben Hornby Number is #41/50, dose this mean I would get about $15.00 less than a lower number?

The reason for the premium for number 2 is that Select keeps every card #001/XXX which means the lowest serial number card you can get is number #002/XXX.

People generally pay a premium for these cards.

Hay Matt, Has Select told someone that they keep all the low number cards? or is it just a roomer.
