Hey all, just wondering what peoples views are with lockyers poor attempt at sigs these days

Obviously signed post 2007, The d no longer curls and he hardly does his full (well half) his full name unless he gets paid

So.. do you as a collector care for a 'time correct' sig or happy with anything? Say if u had an old scalens langlands card signed 30 years later with a different sig than what he did during that period

I find that with high demand comes the neccessity to become quick at it. Another good example of this is Craig Lowndes and Scott Prince. Signatures are adapted so that the player can sign quickly, this is why we don't see the "arren" in Darren anymore.

I'm happy with a card signed later. I wasn't around in Langlands hey day but got a 1975 card signed 35 years after. still a great item

I can say that Lockys signature has become very short indeed.... I have 3 different Lockyer signatures that he had done for me way back in round 3 1996 and he had signed his complete full 1st and last name.... I really love those sigs but even todays signatures are fine as well even if they are shorter....

Penny must of dropped when johns retired and lockyer was just breaking records

I just went through and had a look at my 4 Lockyer sigs (3 on cards and 1 on an Australian jersey) 2 cards and the jersey are just D Lockyer and the other card has his whole name.

on another note looking at the jersey and my Ben Hannant card Benny has the best signiture by far.
