According to the blog,
"While no vote was taken on putting advertisements on jerseys for the first time, the discussion in the ballroom inside the Encore hotel on the Strip showed a strong preference to move forward, deputy commissioner Adam Silver said. The final decision will likely come in an e-mail vote in September and be implemented for 2013-14, giving teams the chance to line up sponsors and uniform makers the time to add the patch of 2 ½ inches-by-2 ½ just above the heart.
“My sense is that every team would do this in some form,” Silver said, indicating the mass support for the idea that has been years in coming, not to mention the mass support for the $100 million annually he estimates would be generated with the new revenue stream."

Those nbl jerseys look ugly with the ads on it but it is understandable why they need the extra revenue streams.

But in the NBA? WTF?

So patch cards will become easier to obtain because there are more breaks and ads to work with. FUCKING STUPID IDEA.

Its all business mate. I don't care about patch cards anymore since there's alot of d!!!!! out there who continously ruining the idea and sometimes you doubt which one is real or not in your collection.

puts an end to me buying NBA singlets.. always thought it was cool how a professional sporting team can support themselves enough to just have a plain singlet with Dallas or Orlando on the front, i suppose it comes from growing up watching NRL, AFL, NBL etc all covered in sponsors.... it will be a sad day if they do....

yeah, posted about this in the other main off-season thread and pretty much have the same thoughts as you man. Bloody stupid idea and said the same thing about the NBL. $100M / 30 = 3M/each annually..... big woop!

It's going to disgrace their jerseys and that curry looks bloody awful!!!

Always respected them for not plastering their jerseys and court with this rubbish, now................

i think people are getting a put to carried away. the logos are only going to be small ones, like that adidas logo and the swingmen jerseys. u wont even see them when the game is on
