BULLDOG MITCH

WE keep hearing Mitchell Pearce will be at the Bulldogs under Des Hasler next year if he can get the release he so desperately wants from the Roosters.

SHOOSH

ANOTHER high-profi le Roosters forward is about to tap on Steve Noyce’s door to ask for a release. He’s contracted until the end of next season but wants to leave now

pearce wanted to follow stuart was what i heard so if he ends up anywhere i think it will be parra. although they have that 550,000$ waste of space in that position already

Dont shoot the messenger but here goes, more of a gee up probably to see how fast this gets around

Jenning done deal signed with Dragons. announcement to be made within two weeks.

Pearce - has agreed to terms with the dragons waiting on formal paper release work from the roosters.

Craig Bellamy - will coach the in 2014 deal almost done 90 % there. Dragons are chasing him showing him the cash

Dragons to go wooden spoon if they buy pearce. You know your a useless waste of space when you let lachlan coote run over the top of you. And ohh please let the jennings thing be legit

Why ooh why would anyone go to the dragons, Got lucky with Benny, Doesnt matter who goes there it will be another 30 years before you see a premiership again,
YOU MUST OUST DOUST, It all starts at the top, and this is where you have been going downhill, Never answers to anything,

P.s, Saw Jamie Soward booking his trip to Bali today, Flight Centre Wollongong, Didnt have any tissues for him to sign for me....... Carn the doggies

I know Doust is a thorn in many ppl's side BUT does anyone remember Dennis Fitzgerald and Daniel Anderson??? Look what getting rid of them did to Parra - they have just slid further and further down the table. But I strongly agree with one thing. GO DOGS!

Fitzy had served his time, but they signed osbourne, No experience, and very cash strapped as we later found, Cant understand y they got rid of D Anderson, But it usually starts higher than just the team. P.S have you seen wjere the dogs are on the ladder, 1ST I THINK, Even if only for a week.....

They got rid of Anderson because Fitzgerald had signed him up, that's why...

Not sure what you mean about going downhill? Still the biggest supported club in the game with the highest volume of merchandise sales, 20,000 paying members (Dogs about 14,000), minor premiers twice in the past 4 years and premiers as well, sounds like a club spiralling out of control to me.

In 2009 when Bennett came to the club Doust spoke about the 5 year plan and we have achieved it all and as outlined in the plan there was a transition period expected as our playing roster aged.

This years performances havn't gone as expected but I believe a lot of that can be attributed to Moltzen and his manager. By the way the Dragons have two actions in place one currently to de-register Moltzen's manager and the 2nd following the seasons end to seek compensation for damages.

Doust spoke at length as usual to the corporate sponsors and I personally believe he is a strong leader of our football club. There are well defined long term plans in place and given the legends of our club are nearing the end of the careers (and rightfully being given the opportunity to transition to retirement on their terms) we will soon again be very active in the player market as Young / Hornby / Cooper / Fein step aside and free up the cash.

Heard this as well from a reasonable source who works in the Dragons marketing and licensing team.

I also heard that C. Smith has a clause to following Bellamy.......a bit like Darius and his Daddy issues.

Cheers

^^You have won 1 premiership in 30 years and have no money.

Apart from snagging Bennett Doust has had little success at the club.To me Saints are the most under performing club of the past 20 years.

I agree with Rey - time for him to go. Just my opinion - dont get  Saints fans!

Definitely can say the Dragons have underachieved in the past 20 years - but they have also played in 5 Grand Finals and made the Finals 15 times. Canterbury have collected two wooden spoons over that time.

They should have progressed further than the last 4 in 05/06 but can't blame Doust for that.

Doust also helped secure funding for Kogarah

1 in 30 is better than a lot of clubs in the competition....

I'm not sure what you reference in your "no money" statement given that St George District Rugby League Football Club Ltd holds no public AGM and the NRL does not publish Club financial results any where...who would know unless you are the auditor or board member. The Knights may have come into money but they have been a basket case for years and now you have sold your souls to the devil and have no control over your own football club, It's now just a play thing for Tinky boy.....

There seems to be a perception out there that Doust cant attract the big names to the club.

I don't think players sit with their managers and think, "Mmmm Doust is the CEO I won't go there", for them it is about the money, playing roster and culture of the club. The CEO isn't a factor in player movement unless the Club board is a basket case i.e. Parramatta

That said; Doust must be OK at recruitment as supposedly the greatest coach ever found it attractive enough to leave his beloved Broncos to go there when no one thought he would ever leave them. And using the example above a coach would sit there with his manager and go "Mmmmm Doust is the CEO, the club is well administered and the board are a people I can work with."

So for me your argument has no substance
