I ordered a box of these and a binder this week from Footy Cards.

I am not a massive collector like you guys, but share it with my son who is right into it. We started with the 2012 Champions set and the plan is basically to chase the basic sets and pull the odd insert. It's possible I'll chase Titans inserts but nothing set in stone yet.

With the box- are we certain to complete the basic set?

A silly question I know and I apologise if it has been asked elsewhere.

Yes you SHOULD get the basic common set but not 100% guaranteed ....Most boxes do have the complete common set but there has been a few that didn`t ...
Did you get told when you ordered the Box and Folder that there would be a delay on the folders arrival of about a week ????
Expect a delay on the folder as there has been issues .....

Enjoy the fun of opening the box with your son ....Only a few days to go now ....

Yeah Select are good with that. You will get a complete common set and a stack of doubles

don't forget pages and penny sleeves, its a good idea to put the card into a premium penny sleeve and then slip that into the pocket on the page.

No I hadn't heard about the folder delay which is a bit unfortunate but not the end of the world- so long as it arrives eventually First I've heard of penny sleeves. I'll have to look into that. I'll definitely pick up some extra pages- I had to for the Champions set as well.

I'll drag out the break though- I'll trickle feed him over time with packs to prolong the excitement for him. Seemed to work well with the other cards. The whole thing takes me back to my basketball card days and I must admit I was very tempted to pick up a box of those for myself but the basketball card offerings seem a bit strange these days.

Couldn't agree more about the basketball cards. I remember the days of provisions, rookie sensations, all nba team, shaq talk, the list goes on. Well designed and very collectable insert sets. Now its seems every player has a sig or patch card and insert sets are all but dead

Apparenty one of the AFL guys was at Cardzone today and Wang had the folders out. Based on that i think the folders may no longer be running late.

Be aware that the folders in series 2 also have NO pages with it .....You may find it hard to find packets also in series 2 as there are not a lot of shops that stock them ....

They were the Eternity Folders not the Dynasty ....

Mick, look for the Ultra Pro Premium Card Sleeves, they are a soft sleeve that protects a card in either a page or a top loader. I suggest the Premium sleeves as they fit better, the standard card sleeves seems to be a little larger and does not fit the page properly, you can get them from sellers here on OCT or eBay and should cost between 2.50 - 3.00 dollars for a pack of 100.
