Is there a case share running for Series 2?

Excuse my ignorance, but why would they be canned? i can't see a down side and it gives ppl who dont have somewhere local to by them, the oppertunity to buy a box or two

well where can i get boxes that haven't been searched?

The easy answer to that is from one of the authorised resellers here on OCT, Cardzone or Select Australia. The cheapest option would be one of the authorised resellers. I will be buying boxes from redtorana as I always do. I know that Warren does not search cases as he puts a certain number of sealed cases aside just for box sales.

I can only think that other authorised resellers (members here on OCT who have a wholesale licence with JHL) would do something similar.

You could also try Goldcoastcards (Glenn).

Noticed a few boxes already on pre-sale on ebay at cost price. Im not calling them searched but personally would not go near them with a 50 foot pole.:cautious:

Thanks Owen, could not think of their usernames here on OCT.

We have decided to stop the case shares as I would like an opportunity for our great sellers on this site to step up and get some recognition for the great service they provide.

We have a number of sellers who are authorised dealers who we should be supporting, and directly (and indirectly) we are killing off these dealers by allowing boxes to be sold here at cost price.Back in the day when there were not many of them around or they weren't known, I agree that the case shares were a great opportunity for members to get a great price. But times have changed - we have lots of great sellers who sell cases and unsearched boxes and we should be supporting them. If we don't support our dealers we won't have them in a couple of years and then where will we be ?

I'm happy to have a list of known good sellers in a thread so we can support them and buy boxes direct from these sellers.

how do you know when a case has been searched?

you dont thats the problem. basically its when a dealer buys the case, opens the boxes till they hit the redemption sig, and when they get it they dont open any other boxes from that case, they ebay them or sell them off

When you bust 12 boxes and get nothing.

what you mean getting nothing? arn't the odds real high anyway for good stuff? Did you buy thre boxes seperate? same product? a case of 12 boxes?

I have busted NBA cases with no hits before because of the high ratios.

Also how do they exactly search a case?

They go through the boxes until they get the big hit and sell the rest off. At times Select cases have had the big hit in the same box in that case and its easy to pick out.

If you see someone selling a box on ebay for cost price (which turns into a loss after FVF and paypal fees) then assume they are extracting value in other ways. :cautious:

so you are always guranteed a case hit in select products ok. some of the older NBA stuff nev r had case hits, so you could get a shit case. or expensive limited cases like exquisites.

I guess that explains what the cardzone guy was doing when I saw a case on his bench and busting boxes like crazy.

In the case of 2012 Series 2, there are 400 cases and 400 total hits for the big sigs, so you SHOULD get 1 of the four major signers in each case.

Ok makes sense if they guranteeing a hit per case.

Although, has there ever been an instance where a case had two hits and selected jsut messed up and one missed out? I know an UD case I baught it iddnt even have one auto in it, yet the odds where 1:90 packets (should have 4 on average in a case). Then the second case I baught, it come with 6 autos (2 above average).

This is somehting I would expect as a rare occurance.

It has happened before (i got 2 hits out of a 2008 Centenary case) however of late Select seem to be pretty good at packing out the cases.
