Resealed Exquisite Box on Hobbykings

Here is the thread.

http://www.hobbykings.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=134799

It looked fishy from the first box and there is NO WAY I would've opened the rest without at least a phone call.

Even though there has been some poor Exquisite breaks. Generally, when you get a few junky commons and rookies you will hit something decent.

Really feel for this guy. Let's hope he at least got a good "deal" on the boxes.

Unbelieveable! How did that guy even find that card that had been sold. Few years back?! What a champ! Hope this guy gets his money back.

^ what GFFL said!!

He said he took a video of the bust so that should show the type of reseal used.

Let's hope they can track down the scumbag fraudster who pulled this stunt on a standup collector.

It would have been tempting not to share a break that was soooo brutal....lucky another member saved the day with an epic piece of detective work!!!

poeple like that should be charged and be made to pay back the money thanks for letting us no .....love this place!!

wow thats some shonky stuff right there, very lucky that someone found the sold card, BUSTED HAHAHA...

and Shaun a google search uncovers all sorts of things, If i am looking for cards i often go to google images and look for pics then go to the parent website, can often find cards that otherwise wont show up in search resuults anywhere else. like ones that just may be on a blog like that.

Yeah I've busted Exquisite once, bought from a reliable source, and whilst it was a positive result (didnt make my money back, but wasnt the point), I won't bust another.
I'd sooner spend that same coin on a case of cards if I were to bust boxes again like that.

People like this should be named and shamed across the hobby, especially if this dude got it from a store! If they claim to have bought it from another source, then there's some issues to be sought there. Maybe them buying and reselling boxes isnt something they should be doing.

It makes you wonder where Atlanta Sports Cards (the legit, reliable dealer that snapper bought the boxes off of) got the boxes.

In a nutshell..

Someone screwed over Atlanta Sports Cards and thus screwed snapper.

But ASC should have been able to tell they were resealed IMO and hence not onsold them. I think they were hoping the buyer wouldn't notice. Which is laughable and negligent really.

That's a joke right?

it's so disheartening to hear about all the dodgy stuff that goes on in our relatively small community. It's things like this that turn people away and make the community weaker.

Just wanted to let everyone here know that I am working on resolving this with Atlanta Sports Cards. I am giving ASC the benefit of the doubt. I believe that they bought them in good faith unknowing that they were tampered with due to their reputation.

Xavieronly1 definitively saved the day for me! Thanks for the support :)
