Faced with the possibility of losing Ray Allen, the Boston Celtics are pursuing Dallas Mavericks free-agent guard Jason Terry, league sources told Yahoo! Sports. The Celtics are preparing themselves for the possible loss of Allen, and began the process of recruiting Terry after midnight ET Saturday, league sources said. Yahoo! Sports
Does the Heat really have a chance on Ray Allen???
The Miami Heat have made Allen a free agent priority, but the Celtics are hoping the fact the champs can offer him just the mini-mid-level exception of $3 million and the lure of staying with Pierce and Garnett will sway him to stay. Boston Herald
Yes.Does the Heat really have a chance on Ray Allen???
Yes.
Mutual interest is there and the desire for another championship before retirement will overtake the paycut.
True. He'd be a good start on getting together some supporting guys around Dwight & Deron. If Dwight joins Deron, don't be surprised if we see Allen in the backcourt too.

I think its been around a week now since I first heard about it but never really pay attention to it. But with the Celtics preparing of losing Allen, it becomes more of a reality for him to leave KG, PP and the Celtics. I just thought that he will stay with the Celtics as long as KG is there. Unless there is some unpleasant situation happening in their locker room, then that will be understandable.
As they should be, Not sure they'd be able to afford OJ or JT if they get both Dwight & Deron... But Foye & Hill would be great to round out a starting 5 of Williams, Allen, Foye, Hill & HowardOJ Mayo, Jason Thompson, Joedan Hill and Randy Foye would also be high on their list.
There has been some reports of Rondo and Allen not getting along, which I think is where some of the interest to leave is coming from.I think its been around a week now since I first heard about it but never really pay attention to it. Yeah, I do remember that one. Then it must be a big issue if that's the reason for him leaving. There has been some reports of Rondo and Allen not getting along, which I think is where some of the interest to leave is coming from.

And let's be honest, Rondo is a bit of a tool.Yeah, I do remember that one. Then it must be a big issue if that's the reason for him leaving.
J.R. Has opted out of the big extension in order to sign a, rumored, 6-year contract for less money to free up cap room. But Baron & Novak would be clearing up cap space for them.Baron Davis, Steve Novak and JR Smith are all up at the Knicks. Jamal Crawford has already opted out.

Oh really? I read that he wanted to stay in New York. I hope Denver offers him the big bucksI heard he's after more $, and he can get it! Not necessarily with the Knicks though!
Former West Virginia big man Kevin Jones went undrafted Thursday night, but doesn’t seem to have lasted too long on the open market. According to SNY, Jones will be headed to Cleveland after he signs a three-year, partially guaranteed contract with the Cavs
