How good were the Sharks on Friday night..............they played a very good game of footy. As always some calls by the refs will be up for discussion, as Gus said, I wish they would change or scrap the stripping rule.
 
That Wade Graham hit that was a no try and put on report was what shocked me. That was unreal. I knew we didnt need Gallen to win but suprisingly we didnt really miss Carney.
We would be a scary team with some class backs.
I had $250 on the Sharks by 13-18 @ $9.50 so i am still up :kick:
 
The Sharks have been great all year, the intercept was obviously a massive play and all they needed to get on top. Great foward back with a mix of size, speed and skill and last night plenty of mongrel!

Graham had a massive game, I also think Smith should have got 5 mins in the bin for raising the arm as he did. Hoffman got smashed all over the park last night. My beloved baby Broncos started to claw their way back but they were just monstered all night.

the sharks defence was great last night, first win at suncorp in 8 years, but the commentators are still looking for an excuse to jump off the bandwagon. fox subscribers will know that this defence has been sharks trademark this year, but last nights game was still only the 2nd sharks game televised this year, fairly poor form for a side that has been in top 8 all year and most of that time sniffing around top 4. the baby broncos were always going to struggle last night, the jump from 20's to 1st grade is too big for the young players (bring back reserve grade). love watching our front row of discards from other clubs (ross, gibbs and degoos) just eating up the metres.
 
I was at the game last night great to see the sharks finally win up there on my 4th trip up there

wade graham was incredible his two hits were great

but as usual the broncos supporters up there just can't take losing
 
No 5minute sin bin anymore, nor is the sin bin for foul play, just profesional fouls, but in saying that, its something that should be looked at...
Graham is a gun, Sharks pack is looking good, Jez is the player that can make a difference in semi final football, geez i wish he was still with us...

Unfortunately there are just some teams who will never get the praise or respect they deserve. Even though the raiders have been terrible these past two seasons they get little praise when they are playing well. Good on the sharks I say!!
 
i thought pomeroy had a real solid game. He's input at critical times was superb. Baby Broncos dropped the ball at seriously, the wrong times. Rushing plays/inexperience to pressure i suppose. What got me was the straight attack runs. Sharks of old. Broncos will learn from that loss. Next few weeks will be interesting.

like passionate supporters anywhere, I dare say if the sharks were monstered by a better team on the night at their home ground then you would have heaps of sharkies fans leaving shark park walking on their bottom lips.

i would say more a product of the success of the broncs over the years, their fans havent had a lot of practice at the losing caper. on the other hand, for sharks fans, we're fairly use to it over the last few years. a big difference between being dejected after the game and not being able to take losing. thankfully at both venues, the next available beer isnt too far away to drown your sorrows

last 2 years i have gone up and w shave been beaten by 30 plus both times and they gave it to me i can cop it

but yeah walking out last night just got the usual garbage from the donkey supporters go back to new your club is garbage etc etc but yeah gave as good as i got and they didn't like it one bit back in there face muppets all of them
 
I'm sorry but when the in hell is the broncos going to stop using that BABY broncos crap. Every team goes thru a stage where they might have a young side. I hate it when they call them that and use it as a excuse when they lose.

THEY ARE GROWN MEN.....does langer change the nappies at half time and full time lol
 
what are you dribbling about Sarah???? No one is saying at the Broncos this is an excuse in why they are losing some of there matches???? I am a Broncos fan and to be honest i love watching these young Broncos playing even if they lose because in a few years time if they can hold onto a few of these players the Broncos will win the comp over and over again....
 
PS , i would not say to much as your Roosters team are very poor indeed!!!! Buying Sonny Bill just cost you guys 1/2 of the Roosters salery cap and you think he will win the comp for you???? Hahaha , the baby Broncos are way more switched on than you lot ....
 
lol nuh i agree with you i like seeing the young guys come thru and try and make it too the big time. Also i'm not a happy roosters fan if they sign sonny bill. I hate the idea of pushing out some of the talent we have for a hasbeen who will only play a handful of games if that and then leave.

I just got the shits last night when those young guys gave 100% last night and yet the broncos fans around me kept calling them the baby broncos and even bagged the young blokes.

Just crazy
 
Hey Sarah , i really hope the Roosters look after some of there current team roster as there is some young guys there that could be future stars.... On the other hand i had the shits when we [BRONCOS] got rid of Gagi as he is a really good player.... Did you see him last night playing for the Knights???? He was everywhere.... And as for Teo going Ahhhhhhhhh , dont go!!!!....
