Off season trades, moves and signings ?

I think Cleveland needs to let go Walton and/or Casspi. Walton logged some minutes but didn't do much while Casspi didn't have a good season but some teams might see value.

In the draft we need a wing player. Ever since LeBron left we haven't had a 3 and it shows when you watch us play. MKG would be perfect for us. And with the 24th pick we have (from LA) we should try to get a center, hopefully Fab Melo is still there. Varejoe is injury prone and if we get another center it will let Thompson move back to his position.

I think we need to 100% commit to getting another scorer or a 3, depending on who we get in the draft. If we could get someone like O.J Mayo who's out of contact in free agency, that would be great. The free agency class for SF's is pretty weak this season.

its funny looking at the whole FA thing, i would like LA to grab back some ex players to help the bench ie, Farmar and Shannon Brown. Lakers have quite a few FA now too Bynum, Caracter, Ebanks, Barnes, Sessions, Hill, Murphy and Morris so its a good time for a big clean out bar Bynum...lol

It's more about, what I'd like to see happen to my team to take them further next year. .
Not really a realistic situation.

I think there will be some MASSIVE moves obviously with the Lakers but the Magic also. Ryan Anderson will want more money, they also need to somehow ditch a couple of guys which is'nt impossible. The Magic payroll is crazy bad. 85 mil for that team. Hedo is probably unmovable. Definately a shake will happen there. Don't put it past these guys to clear some cap room and sign Deron Williams.

Lakers will definately be rid of one of their bigs, most likely Pau. They could get a very good pg or pf for him.

Another one that might be a possibility is Dwight Howard to the Celtics.

K.G and Ray are free agents and will not command huge $$$ anywhere.

C's already have Rondo and Pierce, you get another top level guy and they're looking great again.

K.G may take less money to challenge again.

My dream lakers moves;

1 - Sign Patrick Mills to back up Sessions. Mills is young, quick, can shoot the three and can also penetrate. Hopefully we can sign and trade Sessions + someone else for Lowry. However trading with Houston may be the best opportunity to trade Gasol and free up a little cap space.

2 - Sign C.J. Miles to back up Kobe. Miles can also heat up quickly and would provide consistent offence off the bench. Would be the highest quality guard to back up Kobe in a long time and would finally allow Kobe more rest.

3 - If possible re-sign Lamar (only possible if Dallas cannot find a trade and decide to cut). Lamar can still contribute to a contending side, his last offseason was tough and resulted in him not wanting to play. Kobe could definitely return the hunger and passion to his game, and he could definitely play a key role off the Laker bench.

4 - Re-sign Jordan Hill. Hill was finally given an opportunity late in the season and has shown he can score, rebound and defend. Whilst all these elements still need improving, I believe he has shown the potential to do so.

5 - Trade Pau Gasol. I do love Pau but I hope he has frustrated us all for the last time. If we haven't managed to send him to Houston then try for a trade with Atlanta for Josh Smith. Smith is more athletic, and the offense under Mike Brown would look and run better without two 7-footers on the floor.

6 - Trade Blake and McRoberts. Basically for whatever we can get. Blake had an impressive postseason but we need more speed and the point.

7 - Sign Sam Young to back up Metta World Peace (if possible). Young is still young and I think has underrated potential. Learning from Kobe could perhaps bring this potential out.

8 - Sign Darius Morris. I am still undecided on Morris (if possible). However, perhaps I currently think he may be alright? Looked lost on court a lot this season, but maybe showed enough promise?

9 - Do not resign Barnes, Murphy, Ebanks.

Based on this lakers roster would be;

PG - Kyle Lowry or Ramon Sessions (preferably Lowry)
Patrick Mills
Darius Morris

SG - Kobe Bryant
C.J. Miles
Andrew Goudelock

SF - Metta World Peace
Sam Young

PF - Josh Smith
Lamar Odom

C - Andrew Bynum
Jordan Hill

Cheers, Cal

Might look good on paper but they will have an average age of 41!!!!

All this hype around Dwight, he still doesn't have an offensive game, I just don't get it. In saying that tr days of the great centres are just about dead.

Even though People don't say he has an Offensive Game

He Still puts up 20.6 ppg

which is what most teams would take but yes i agree with you. he could develop his offense more

I don't understand why people want to trade pay either, I'd trade Bynum before him every day of the week. It's just neither of them are willing to take a back seat. Pau is as good a rebounder, better defender and has more offense, just need to get his head right.

??? u watch any Lakers games this year? When Bynum is fully healthy he showed this year he's a beast. Bynums D is better than Gasols, Bynum rebounding was as good or better than Gasols and shoots a higher %

Bynum an defend down low but not as versatile as pau as he can defend the high post. I just think pau is more versatile offensively as he has a jump shot also. Don't get me wrong I agree and think bynum is a beast but personally if I had to keep one it would be pau. I guess Bynum is younger but Kobe does not have much left and their time is now.

I can see Nash going to Lakers as a free agent. Just got a feeling.

Lakers will pay the money to win, they hate not challenging.

Nash would be nice but it wouldnt even be a bandaid as he would only have what 1 maybe 2 seasons left at best. I'd really like to see the Lakers go for youth with Kobe is still around and have Bynum to build around or again make that play for Dwight and then try for someone like Lowery or a rookie PG
