Random paypal question and bonus !!

After my dealings with the last ebay scammer my paypal balance went into the negative...grrrrr
Anyways...finally got a debit mastercard sorted and went on last night to add it to paypal and guess what ?
My negative balance was wiped clean....nearly $100 i wont have to pay back..
Maybe they gave up chasing it...

Now to the question....if i now pay some1 using paypal with only a few dollars in there will it go staight to the backup card and if so is there a delay in the seller getting there cash

PayPal + bank account = most of the time instant payment unless you don't have funds in the bank account.

PayPal + credit card = instant payment.

I have both a credit card and bank account connected to my PayPal and can choose where the money comes from If I don't have enough in the PayPal balance.

Does that help at all mate?

I wouldn't get too excited Steve, at least not yet.

Will be interesting to see if they take any money once you get paypal funds in the account.

Just because the balance of the paypal is now zero doesn't mean they are not still after the money. What they have done is common practice when it comes to Collecting Debts. Basically they take the existing balance to zero and then when some new money comes along, bam that money is now theirs and not yours.
