Hi,A card is only worth want people are willing to pay for it, could you not have a low price and high price to be within a range. it would help people to have a guideline.I havent seen a copy of this price magazine but I seen the others the priceing is good and bad my opinion.I am new to OZCT but be collecting close to 20 yrs Cheers Bob

Worth and what someone is willing to pay are 2 very different things.
The best analogy i can give is that my car might be worth $20K but i may find someone willing to pay me $25K. That does not mean that my car is now worth $25K only just that i was able to find someone to pay that price.
If i can impart some knowledge on the part time collector to make a more informed decision and not get ripped off then im more than happy. Its really the reason i have put it together. If it gets people talking about cards then that's great for all of us.

If no one buys your car its worth nothing but if someone offers $25K then its worth that.Who defines the price in the first place SELLER or BUYER its not the Producer as I could buy a packet $2.95 and get something which sells for $20 so who sets the price.I am a friend and love collecting and understand how hard it could be to do a price guide so thanks
Your making my point for me there. If you go out and crash said car the insurance company will pay you out. Thats because the car has an assigned value.
Thats why there is a difference between value and worth. Im just trying to assign value based on sale prices. What someone is willing to pay for a card is there problem - they pay what they think its worth.
Im not trying to have an issue with you, im just trying to get across the thinking behind it because i think its an important difference.
As i mentioned earlier we use sales data to help assign a value exactly the same as people do for a cars, houses whatever.
Dont take things the wrong way because im not accusing you of being right or wrong of anything.
If people can use the price guide as a basis when buying something and save themselves being ripped off on ebay then im happy. I dont know many people that like being ripped off...
