Official 2011-2012 Playoff thread

Again, it just proves lack of balls from Lebron, he may not have asked Pittman or Howard to do anything, but I bet his bitchy whinging before, during and after every game would have sent the message thru loud and clear to his teammates - I need your help to fight my battles. Must like winning a Championship, Lebron does not have the heart to fight thru adversity.

C'mon man, do you seriously think LeBron would risk a T2 and/or suspension and therefore lose the playoffs just so he could dish out some punishment? Why on earth would he do that? He just got on with it and scored a near triple double AGAIN. Seriously, you don’t like Bron, but don’t let it cloud common sense.

"i bet his bitchy whinging made them do it"? Really?.....

I think the bigger point that has been missed is that noone, before the series began, expected Indy to take the Heat to 6! The tissues remark is silly IMO because even if they do lose, it is a huge effort on their part and should be celebrated!

Miami have underperformed when compared to expectations.

I remember the NBA poll on who you wouldn't like to play, The Pacer were my pick.

I think you'll find that nearly everyone was saying Pacers would be Miami's hardest match up in the East were they not?

You're one-eyedness is shining brightly in this thread young padawan :p

Fair enough??? I honestly included the Pacers as part if the Heat's 'free run to the finals' before they started! In the comp I am running, there is a prize for the team that surpasses their expectations by the most, and I genuinely rated it out of sixers and pacers!!

So maybe I am well off then huh!

PS - I am CLEARLY two-eyed mate! One eye is about nothing but the Spurs winning, and the other is on any team that can possibly beat the Heat :p

Nah the tissue comment made me chuckle out loud.

Ohhh, don't get me wrong, I liked the comment itself, great banter! I just meant it was silly to think that Pacers fans would be upset about sneaking 2 wins in the series!

Sometimes I read post here and wonder how many have played at a level.
So, I'll start a post on your toughest player you played against.

I don't get it???

I hit around 20pts last night and pulled AT LEAST 15 boards and went 0/5 from the line

But I am not sure you would know any of the players I played against!

I think the NBA got it right, Haslem deserved the 1 game, like Tim Legler said, it should've been an automatic ejection during the game, but coz it was'nt, they have to pay for it now.

I called Pittman at 2-3 games, it's the playoffs, that's a fair chunk of a series even if you are a nobody.

Hansbrough call was spot on too. Hard foul at the ball, disguised it nicely, Haslem needs to be smarter.

I still think the Heat will win game 6. Lebron and D. Wade are too hot now.

I still think the Heat are just too frail mentally. Teams will take note that if they beat up on Lebron and D.Wade, some chump will come in for payback and do something stupid. Have a look at the teams left, Celts (hopefully), Spurs and OKC. All are extremely disciplined.

But again, the Heat do have the best player in the League. I hope that's not enough.

alot of people where saying sixers have no hope and will be lucky to win one game haha, its a tough ask but game 7 is going to be a crackers

COME ON SIXERS

Your pretty much making my point for me...there should be no need to "dish out punishment", just play basketball, albeit a tougher brand now that its playoffs. Of course he is not going to risk suspension, but you cant tell me there wasnt a decision made in the Miami Heat locker room that was played out by Juwan Howard and later Pittman. What Lebron needed to do was act like a leader (suppose there's a first time for everything) and tell his team mates to rise above the stupidity of Stephenson and just play tough basketball. That way when he goes off (like he has shown he can regularly) everyone will be talking about his great game, not about the actions of his team mates.

And if you watch enough Heat games you can see that there are very few in the game who complain/glare to the ref's as much as Lebron (and Wade for that matter).

Oh and (off topic sorry) cant wait to input and read other OCT details of greatest players that they have played against.

I watch basketball not to see who complains too much nor who give the refs the hard time but I watch basketball because I love this game!!!

You know, if you really have that much hate on Lebron, don't watch him play at all. You might feel a lot better. ;)
