Official 2011-2012 Playoff thread

The number of rings does not make one great, Robert Horry.
MJ wasn't a physically gifted as many players, but the game has changed. MJ's mental can't be measured. He lifted in June like no other.
Did a Spurs fan say FLOP ? Should I point at Robert again ? Not to mention the rest, but CP3 has always been a flopper. And it seems he has taken all of his talents to LA.
Looks like Miami isn't going to do it without Bosh, good coaching by the Pacers.

Wow, alot to like and dislike about the last 2 pages of stuff here, but this takes the cake. Robert Horry was "great", he proved that by coming up in HUGE situations, that is what makes people great. Yes he played on some amazing teams, but he won them games because you need to win the big moments, and Big shot Rob was always there for ya. Be it at Houston, Lakers or Spurs. Wake up dude.

Not sure when the last time I saw a Spurs player "flop", Manu used to do it alot but I think they're on to him now, the Spurs take some good hits, that's why they get charge calls. I've taken many charges over the years, and on some good players that some of you would've heard of in the NBL, it is definately an art form and you pretty much have to take a fall back as soon as the contact comes. If you time that wrong you look like an idiot because you start falling before the contact ot even worse, after the contact. If you are good enough to pick a guy going left or right and get dead in front, you deserve the call (if the contact warrants it).

Please enlighten us who your team is again tagged? I'd love to rip them.

I'm not even gonna bother with the "boring" or "old" talk, I heard someone say, you ask the coaches which team plays the way you want them to, 99% would say the Spurs. Although Thunder are now looking to take that mantle, they are exciting and play the right way. Great team. I guess we'll know soon if OKC can take the crown and begin their dominance of the League.

I also forgot to add in, that of course everyone is entitled to their opinion, that's why we have these arguments/debates, everyone sees things differently in every sport out there. Please continue.

Is Robert better than MJ, NO. You can't judge a player by the number of rings he has.

Yes, Miami isn't playing very well. Can't see them winning without Bosh.

Sorry for having a biased point of view, but as a big fan of Paul George, I'm of course following the Heat-Pacers series, and they're playing great B-ball :D

Hibbert has been unstoppable down low, Granger & George great as perimeter defenders, and David West is the unanimous leader of this squad. And great coaching by Vogel overall.

But I'm also aware that none of the wing players had a great offensive game (ie Granger, George, Barbosa), and they need to work on the P&R situations.

The 4th game will be very intense!

Your spot on Vincent, Hibbert has been the key for me. Bosh's absence is killing them. You can't blame any of those that are on the court for Miami.
And more credit needs to go to the coach, didn't know his name, Vogel.

Basketball is a team sport. Miami is not winning because they have injured players and that is not an excuse but its reality. Its now the Pacer's series to lose same as when Rose went down, Philadelphia became the favorite to win that series. Alot of people hate Miami (Lebron) anyway so if Miami is losing like this, those haters are showing more fire in themselves and funny thing is, alot of them don't even know Lebron personally to have their kind of hate.

A Spurs fan should NOT be complaining about other teams flopping; but yes, check out some of Zack Randolphs's recent comments about them lol..... he comes to the conclusion that it has all mainly started since CP3 arrived.

Well, obviously you haven't been watching the Clips v Spurs series!

There is a HUGE difference in 'flops' mate. You can take a contact and make the impact look more than it was to attract attention to the foul WHICH WAS THERE. And to say that a Spurs fan shouldn't be able to call flop is extremely narrow minded. Show me ANY single team that doesn't do it?? EVERY team does it when they take a charge, so why is it different when Manu does it during a drive or switch movement or screen?? The contact IS there. If the team that gets the foul doesn't like it.... THEN DON"T MAKE THE CONTACT IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!

The flops I was referring to however are completely different! Have a look through highlights at a Caron Butler 3 pointer in game 2. No contact AT ALL, but after the shot he lays down to try and get the and1 call. THAT is a flop!

My point is that the Clippers must be encouraging it!

And no one ever said Horry was better than MJ, but he is a great for what he did! He is 100x the clutch player Lebron is... and I get the feeling that upsets you that he gets that recognition whereas Lebron still has something to prove! ;)
