New GU/Patch Cards

Hey guys, just wondering, all these new releases featuring old players (say those Panini Booklets - have I got that right?), are these Game/Event-Worn or manufactured???

Any help is appreciated.

As far as I know they are game worn, Panini buys the jerseys from auctions and other places.

Worn stuff comes from auctions, clubs, players estates and the players themselves

But are they worn by the actual player or not??? They back of the cards used to say "this card features a piece of jersey worn in a NBA game by Michael Jordan" or something along those lines. Now it just says "was worn in a game" (doesn’t say who wore it), some just say panini gurantees this material.

Yeah that's what I'm getting at.

1.) are they game/event worn and not manufactured.

2.) if worn, is it by the depicted player on the card.

I guess only those with the cards can actually answer that for me...

Well some of the cards say "enclosed game worn material". How old is old? Maybe ask bjs127, he just posted a mailday with a couple of decades booklets from the 70s.

I've been pleading for ages for more info to be put on the back. When Panini got the NBA license and asked for collector input there was a thread here that was going to be viewed or sent to the Panini guys but obviously no notice was taken.

In the end it was major reason I sold off all my stuff, wasn't to my satisfaction, too ambiguous.

The booklets i've seen all say "The enclosed game worn memoribilia is guaranteed by Panini America" Not sure if they are from the players pictured though, just gotta have a little faith I guess.
Im going to hit Tracy up about this when I get a chance, they really do need to put something more reassuring on the back of cards.

Yeah, 98% of my patches are "was worn by **** in a NBA game". If i am going to drop hundreds on a card for a particular player i want to be sure the jersey/patch is from that player and GU. Otherwise it seems kind of hollow.

all of my booklets (10) say "the enclosed game -worn material is guaranteed by Panini America Inc" so they ARE game worn. Unlike their "enclosed swatch is guaranteed by panini america" the booklets ARE GAME WORN
