okay before i start, please dont comment 'oh dont sell your pc' or 'you cant do that'
i want honest opinions from experienced people.

i currently have this one on ebay
http://www.ebay.com/itm/James-Harde...66918986?pt=US_Basketball&hash=item3f16e30f4a

i have had that on ebay for a while now.

as most of you probly know, harden has put it in beast mode, and his single card prices are about the highest they have ever been, and the bigger cards are selling easily for big numbers. thats not including the monsters i have.

so, do i list my cards as singles on ebay?

now a little more info. i dont need the money right at this moment.
BUT, the extra money would significantly increase my current savings for a house deposit which i hope to be using in the next 12 months.

im really torn as i love my harden collection, but as you all know. you cant live in cards.
if im going to do it, its gotta be done in the next few days, as it would take me ages to list them all and it has to be done before they get (hopefully not) eliminated from the playoffs.

help/opinions please?

It's a big call man, I mean only you'll know the answer. The PC is incredible, well done sticking it together!

Playoffs is always a great time to see PC cards come up as players are shining the most and attracting more attention.

You probably should have put best offers on the listing, that way you'll get an idea on what people are prepared to pay for them.

Splitting them up can sometimes bring more return, but in saying that, you'll probably part with a couple of center piece cards (say 1/1s), and then you're left with a few hundred autos and patches, but nothing REALLY of major value.

GL with the sale if you proceed with it. Buying a house is always a massive step forward in life, hope everything goes well.

to avoid getting stuck with all the lower end stuff, i would list those at auction and sell for whatever they get. i really dont wanna be left with a lot of $5 cards..
i would keep 3 or 4 really good cards i like..

idk, i got a bit of thinking to do.

Yeah exactly man. It's a touch choice to make. I went through a stage of wanting to sell up and get out all together, and I regret parting with what I did, and certainly wouldnt do it again.

Unless you can get what you want ($ wise) and in 1 hit, it's really not worth it, IMO.

Best of luck with it man, tough decisions ahead.

Tough decision to make.

What sort of investment compared to what you can make on the cards % wise?

I mean his cards will be BLOWING up all playoffs unless they go out. If they win they'll go up more.

I think they should beat Lakers so I'd wait until that series when Harden has a good game and put em up then if you're gonna.

having just sold off most of my JO pc, this is what i did and what i would suggest

Game used, sell as a lot unless they are numbered below 100 then sell individually
Numbered cards..,anything numbered 25 and below sell individually
Autos..sell individually
Patch cards..sell individually
1 of 1's sell individually

Also only sell auction style,as you may get two people in a bidding war push the price up

You will get a better price in the long run by selling individually as people expect to get things cheaper when they buy in bulk

Most people know that I'm not attached to cards and if I don't want them or am bored or would rather have the money, OUT THEY GO!! Haha. If you're comfortable moving them on eBay and could do with the $$ for a deposit do it I say :)

P.s. that beard is out of damn control wtf is his plan for it lol! Wonder if the ladies like it or like cant even get in there :S

thanks garth. appreciate the advice.
i think thats the way im gunah go..

i just got a huge offer for the card in my avatar.. i think i need to move them soon but..
i just need the $$ for life things..

as far as making money, i would come out in front. well in front of what i paid.. cards like the exquisite gold i only paid $220 for. now its a $600 card minimum.

i think i might list the lower end stuff soon and the bigger stuff mid way thru the lakers series..

i still dont know.

If you are thinking of selling now is the ideal time. As much as I love collecting sometimes money is more usefull to you. Doing it the way Garth suggested would be best, I sold my MJs in a lot and could have made probably double doing it that way.

Firstly, I think you mean Nuggets series

Secondly, If you could use the money for something more important i.e. a house deposit then do it. I sold my Cousins PC and used the funds for a deposit on my new car. As for selling, definitely list the bigger ones individually and, as Garth said, as auctions. When I listed some of the bigger Cousins cards I had 2 buyers in bidding wars for a couple over the was 45-50 seconds and I got almost double what I paid originally.

It's definitely going to be a shame to see it split but if you can use the money for bigger and better things then go for it.

Do you still have your LL's?

I've tried to gut my PC twice. I nearly took a $2k+ loss to get additional funds for a house deposit by selling every Bogut I had at the time for $1500. The other time, I sold some cards to some awesome members on here, and some deadset spanners who aren't allowed to be here any more.

I've got an entertainment unit that I have over $3k worth of Boguts (about 15 cards) sitting here at home and I look it every night and smile. My wife, however obtuse at the start, finds herself looking at them regularly too, and asks questions that don't start with, "Why the f@ck did you spend..."

There is no way in hell I would sell the awesome things I now have, to buy a house that would be empty without them.

I prefer not to call it advice, just a suggestion of what i would do, having done it already

I do have one other suggestion though, if you are going to keep one or two cards, then keep that logoman in your avatar

I've been lucky, managed to organise a wedding and buy a house without selling off my pc.

My advice, pretend you have sold it and see if you miss it! A 1/1 is hard to come by, and I would highly recomend to selling it if you are keeping the rest of your pc!

Mate i sold off about $10k of cards to downsize and because i was bored, i now regret selling my green pmg but its all personal choice. Personally i think hardens cards will actually increase, he has a game very similar to manu and i think he can be one of those special players that can win you titles. Go with your gut but as the other guys have said you have to separate them!!

Depends on how much you need the coin I guess!? He's turning into a great player. I can only see them continually going up. Maybe sell off everything thats not low numbered? Keep the real top end stuff, see how the savings go. That way, if you save more than expected for the house, the stuff you sold is easier to get back later if you want.

Good luck either way, sensational PC.

I also think it's the ideal time to sell the Harden cards, before the secound round would be a nice timing imho

Not fan of the player, but he's a really special one, and with this left hand and his proportion to attack the basket, he'll be a double-digit scorer for a long time, with nice oher stats overall

Garth made great suggestions, but I think you should begin with the 2nd year stuff to sound out the potential buyers' mood
