Yes that's right a couple of real nice patch autos that aren't a Silhouette or RPA! Okay, one of them is not as good but the second one - well I think it kicks the 'shette' out of Silhouette and makes me forget about not having a Q-Pon RPA.....

Thanks to everyone who I've dealt with on here of late - you all know who you are!

As always starting out small....

About as close as I'll ever get for a Jordan auto for the Dunk Champs side PC! Really like those Topps #1 Draft Picks cards too!

Some nice Triple Threads parallels (/299 and /199) and base (including Bird for the PC). I'll save the Ridnour for your PC AJ! Never had these in hand before - they look quite nice.

The Unsung Role Players

Kapono the 3pt gun - now appears to have been well and truly silenced! Autographics on card
IMG_00122-5.jpg

Jarvis Hayes Hoops Hot Prospects patch /500 - love the massive embossed team logo
IMG_00112-6.jpg

Alonzo Gee Draft Edition auto /999. Like this guy's energy, persistence and hustle - has been signed and waived 4 times before sticking with the Cavs. His only auto so far too!

The Set Chases

For the latest HP RAP set chase....

Hawes /399, Green (upgrade) /385 and Law /399

IMG_0021-8.jpg

The Overly Ambitious Famed Signatures Set Chase

Ann Meyers /499 and Nate Thurmond /499 - don't you hate paying for cards you need but don't even like?

IMG_0023-8.jpg

IMG_0024-8.jpg

The Obligtory Random Skip20 Cards

Press Pass autos - on card and nice simple design. Under-rated imo!

Detlef Schrempf (very well rounded player who could fill up a box score, even off of the bench), Sidney Moncrief (defensive stud and could rack up points too) and Larry Nance (not so random - he belongs in the dunk champs side PC).

IMG_0016-10.jpg

Marbury Black Diamond Gemography auto - never realised how sick these cards look in hand! One of my favourite designs!
IMG_0025-9.jpg

Barea / Foye / Afflalo SPGU Multi Marks Triple Auto /75 - 2 out of 3 of those guys have had a sudden surge in popularity! Definitely trade bait material, but love me a multi auto!
IMG_0027-9.jpg

Darryl Dawkins Golden Age Auto /99 - I think th enickname 'Chocolate Thunder' says it all - really need an inscription of this bloke!
IMG_0026-8.jpg

Speaking of inscriptions.......

Tiny Archibald Monikers 'Tiny' Inscription (on card) /299 - he even used quotation marks for his nickname! Classic!
IMG_0032-5.jpg

George Gervin 'Iceman' Inscription /100 - looks like a sticker but isn't!
IMG_0033-5.jpg

Finally onto some PC stuff!

Larry Bird Black Box Elite GU /99
IMG_0028-9.jpg

Q-Pon Apprentice Patch /25 - and a pretty nice one at that!
IMG_0029-9.jpg

Q-Pon Next Day Auto! Finally got one! Massive on card sig /97
IMG_0031-6.jpg

Jason Kidd Inspirations on card auto /275 - real sharp crisp auto, one of my nicer ones
IMG_0030-7.jpg

Was gonna save this for later - but belongs with the PC stuff.....
Bird / Cowens / Walton Triple Threads Patch Gold #7/9 - pretty sure this is my one and only Bird patch so it takes on special significance.
IMG_0035-5.jpg

That Kick Ass Patch Auto........

Russell Westbrook Elite Gamers GU (Patch?) auto /25
IMG_0034-5.jpg

Just teasing folks - I've got something a little bit better than that ;-)

How about this!

Carmelo Anthony Bowman Elevation patch auto #9/15 - has been floating around OCT for a while - but liked the patch and my first Carmelo auto!
IMG_0036-5.jpg

......but wait! There's more!

Normally that Carmelo or Bird patch would be enough to finish my mailday but this time I've got something 'special'.....

It's an on card patch auto - not silhouette, not RPA but this sexy bit of cardboard holds its own ground pretty well..... I'll let you judge for yourself!

09 10 Jerry West Exquisite Number Pieces #18/44 - that's a crisp clear on card auto and two ripping Lakers patches from the franchsie and league he helped make famous!

Ta da!

IMG_0037-4.jpg

Yes, I thought you'd all be suitably impressed!

Thanks for looking and comments always appreciated!

Meh, no Silo's? What a junky mailday.

Of course im joking mate, just a little jealous
That West is a dead set cracker! and the Melo patch is a little fancy too :hearts:

WOW Skip, what a mailyday :woot: congratz for all these fantastic addition for your pc, personnaly i love the Quincy Pondexter Patch timeless treasures :hearts: if one day you doesn't her anymore don't hesitate to contact me :D.

Seriously i hope in the next few days you will receive my hot prospect patch ;)

Wow, the West is stunning!
Also liking the Celtics triple patch and the Press Pass autos, very nice looking cards :)

Press Pass gets a bad rap in my opinion - cards are good to look at and offer big on card autos, no crazy gimmicks or massive patches but a good solid product none the less!

A lot of nice cards mate,But that west is a killer card,Beautiful

Not even PC but probably the best card I own?! lol

Very nice mate, love the Kidd Inspirations auto and Celtics triple threads mate awesome mailday. :)

Yeah that Kidd auto is something special, just kind of jumps out at you! First Bird patch is a sentimental favourite - definitely a keeper!

Yes, sometimes even guys like me get a little fancy! I've actually sold off some cards recently so I'm definitely moving up into some higher end stuff! Hopefully those upper tier OCT collectors make room for some riff raff junk collectors like me at the table.... hah hah

Thanks Tiphaine, guess your card will feature in the next mailday! The HP set chase is well and truly on.....until I get stuck again! heh heh You might like my maildays since two of my PC players spent time with the Hornets!

lol that melo has passed hands sooo many times. It is a sweet card however. As always, nice work with the q-pons (that patch is sweet) and the jerry west is a stunner!

West is awesome! Huge fan of the press ass autos, and if you ever want to move that dawkins, hit me up!

They have a lot of nice big on card autos hey which are usually put on decent amounts of white backgrounds these days. The way autos should be, underrated is spot on Skip.

Great cards. There are many good Black Diamond cards from that year, I don't see many autographs.

Big Dawkins, very entertaining even if he didn't get the big wins.

The Bird, Cowens, Walton card is great. I don't like cards like that because I can't decide which player the card goes with in the card album, but for something like that I would make an exception. Is the Walton memorabilia part from Portland?

Yes

Indeed, the West is an absolute beauty! Honorable mention goes to the Bird patch.

I feel privileged to have them both - iconic Lakers and Celtics stuff on show, but I don't need to explain the history to a Classics collector!

West is awesome! Huge fan of the press ass autos, and if you ever want to move that dawkins, hit me up!

I'll have a look through yoru stuff Norm, it's a rare on card GS auto but definitely moveable..... Pretty sure you meant Press Pass, I think Press ass is a Benchwarmer subset - lol

Most cards on OCT will go through my hands at least once - hah hah Q-Pon PC is definitely the deepest PC I have and has renewed my interest in collecting the later releases.

Very nice west mate and some sick patches too. Well done!

Cheers Whitey, even a Celtics fan can appreicate the Jerry West! ....although I suspect you liek the triple patch even more!

Bingo! The college pics always capture the players before they made it big in the league - always look so young and inexperienced!

Go West young man, very sweet card, congrats.

Go West - life is peaceful there... Isn't that a Pet Shop Boys song? Anyhoo, feel like a pilgrimage for me to end up with something that good!

People are using "no silhouette" on ebay???? shouldn't be surprised but I am lol
Great mailday Skip!! Love the West Exquisite!!

I haven't tested the theory yet, but based on the number of no autos and no Jordan cards available I think I might be onto something! hah hah

Those Inkscription cards are great, the Iceman is one of the better nicknames going about too.

Cheers Darren, an inscribed nickname is just about the holy grail of cards for me.... A 'Monster Mash' would be the icing on the cake if I can find one!

love the jerry west

Thanks mate, I think it has found a home for the rest of its days!

Background to the Black Diamond really caught my eye for some reason. Yes, Dawkins was an entertainer although never on a real contender. I'd say the red and black Walton patch would have to be from Portland, which is good in a way because those were his MVP, Finals MVP and all-star years.... Any triple with Bird on it gets filed under Bird! Unless there's Oscar Robertson.... ;-)

nice mix there skip...loving the west exquisite, beautiful stuff! need that westbrook auto if you could let it go lol...
