The Official COMC Thread - Questions, Concerns, Issues, Feedback

That fee is only if your money is in there longer than 30 days. So you can deposit, make an offer on a card and if unsuccessful you should be able to take out and not get a fee on it.

I bought a couple of cards on COMC a few days ago, used paypal and payment went through. Nothing is showing up in the purchase history, been like this a few days.
Anyone else getting this?

The cards aren't available for purchase so that's a good sign lol. Was just a little concerned no record is showing up I bought them.

Did you get a confirmation email (to check shipping address) then a cards have been sent email?

I bought some a couple weeks ago and got those emails.

Ahh just checked and got a confirmation email (I don't check that email very often lol). No cards sent email yet but will have to keep checking it. Cheers Matt your a champ!

Good that they keep customers up to date I think, especially impatient card collectors who want stuff they buy like NOW, where is it already!!!!
haha

Haha. I agree, it is awesome they give updates. I didn't want it straight away, I just wanted confirmation that the order had gone threw correctly. So far I'm happy :)

Well, I'm waiting for a package for over a month and still haven't receive it. It's not the first time this has happened though. :(

I've emailed them and they will give you the standard reply which goes something like "We have customer in Canada receiving packages after a month of posting so please be patient". :woot:

Just received a package from COMC today. Pretty sure it was under 3 weeks all up!!

Great service every time for me so far!

I use standard shipping on not so urgent or expensive and it's been about 14 days but used expedited a few weeks ago and got them in 5 days I think. Awesome stuff

One thing I came across today which had never crossed my mind before is the condition of the cards.

Nowhere (to my knowledge) does it show the actual condition of the card properly?? I know they use a scan, but they are cropped.

I just got a Blair GU as part my order and noticed the edges on the back are really average!

Most of the cards I have got from there are pretty good condition wise so I have never really thought about it before??

That may be the seller and not COMC, Every now and then I take a look and add things to my shopping cart and noticed that a few things I went to add last week came up with the message that the item had damaged edges

I have heaps of cars sitting there waiting for me to finish shopping :) ad i have also had the damage warning come up on a few.
but how can it not be comc's fault if an item is damaged but not listed as such?
they have all the cards there and they scan and enter details.
I guess it could be very possile for the person that entered the cards to make a few mistakes every now and then.

anyways,
while i am here id like to ask, Is there a way i can see items that have already sold etc?
Id really like to see them so i could get a feel for what people are buying often so i can work out what is worthwhile sending in?

Id love to set up a branch of COMC here in Australia that is in direct contact with the US one to make it cheaper and easier or Aussies to sell to US etc..

anyways,
As a buyer,
You go shopping and find whatever they have for sale that you want or need, you can but them outright for the listed price and add them to your cart or you can make offer on cards to get hem for a better price ( you need to deposit funds first to make offers)

you can keep buying for days, weeks or even months, and keep adding to your collection, and when you are finished, you can ship them all at once.
for example i have been buying cards here and there to finish sets for the last month or so. and will continue to do so now ( as cards get added that i need) until i finish my sets and have enough to send to me to make it worth while. As i buy them they are added to my file and kept in storage until im ready to ship.

there is a great FAQ section, i read thru that heaps before i started using it. http://www.checkoutmycards.com/FAQ.aspx

as for using as a seller i only know what is listed on the site and havent used it to sell ( YET) but i think it may be better and safer to sell there than ebay, but really want to know first what sort of cards sell more, as i mentioned in post above, it would be great to see ended/ sold items to get a feel for buyers trends on there.
