Non paying/late paying members on group buys.

Well there are still two that haven't paid out of the 7 guys in this months group buy. Only got one response to the PM I sent out last week too and one member did not reply at all which is pretty irritating and rude not to mention being an anchor for others that have done the right thing.

Don't worry guys as I should have the case in my hands tomorrow (possibly Thurs due to weekend and public holiday) as I went ahead and paid for it anyway. Probably against my better judgement but any box not paid for will find a home I'm sure.

Those that participate in group buys will say I put all info in the threads and send out PM's with all the info needed on payments and the like. Its now the 8th of December.

This buy is only 7 guys and 5 pay on time. The Fleer group buy better go smoother or it will be the last one by me at least. I don't make money on these and they are a bit of work but I do them to help the boards and hobby in OZ. I hate hearing of guys getting ripped on eBay with reseasled boxes and over charged on postage etc.

Communication is the key and I shouldn't have to chase up members for the money owing. Simply make it easy for me especially with the fleer buy with a lot of payments. There will be a payment thread and simply post there when you have paid and what reference you left etc. That way I don't have to keep checking who and who hasn't paid all the time.

After this any member that fails to pay in time AND doesn't PM me explaining when payment will be made will not be taking part in any future group buys.

The key to avoiding threads like this is communication.

I completely agree.

People who say theyre in for a group buy and then try to back out or who think they can pay whenever they feel like and hold it up for the rest of the group are just plain dickheads.

Certainly if they communicate the fact that payment will be late before the payment is due then thats ok, but just ignoring PMs and stuff is very immature.

I think those who choose to act in this irresponsible way should be named and shamed, or at least banned from future group buys. As with everything in life, its the majority of people who do the right thing, but a small minority have to **** it up for all.

With the Finest Group buy by the time it got organised I could have got a box a lot cheaper shipped direct to me, but I'd already put my hand up for the group buy so I paid up. The instant you say you're in there should be no turning back.

Well one member said payment would come early this week but it still hasn't shown up. As for not responding to a PM concerning it and still being active on the boards I'm far from impressed. This thread should go a long way to pointing it out to them.

If I wasn't a nice guy the boxes would still be sitting in the US rather than next to me. Thats not fair to the others BUT I only did it as I knew I could could move any boxes I had left and I already have guys asking about them.

I agree with the comments made, if you're in you're in unless you sort something out prior to the order.

For example, inlast months group buy I put my hand up, but then realised I would not have the money, I realised another member here was after a 2nd box so I PM'd them and Chad and sorted it out quickly.

If you think the time-wise the payment would be pushing it then don't go in! I haven't joined some group buys knowing I may be short of cash and then the next week I have purchased an order on my own. I'm sure it would have been okay to hold it for a few days, but that is still putting someone out who is giving their time generously.

Hopefully the Fleer buy goes well, but if some people do the same Chad, I think you should leave it up to each member to oranise their own purchases.

Yeah it sucks when ppl want or order a box and end up with keep pending or even cancel the order by not responding or give such a crap excuse....

thats why its hard to deal with some people that you dont really know and you cant do anything..

btw chad let me know which box you have spare at the moment

Chad, is it possible to have people pay before the order gets placed?

I know that a lot of people said they would like boxes in the Fleer buy but I think you should have people pay first. That way those who genuinely want a box or two can get them without hassle to you.

Of course Vlad. Its always like that but seeing it was only two boxes that I could offload I went ahead as others paid nearly two weeks ago.

The fleer buy will only go ahead when people have paid as i can absorb two boxes but not most of the 34 up for grabs.

people shouldn't agree to group buy if they can't afford it like me , the least 1 could do under any circumstances is to pm chad or whoevers buying to explain or the group buys will be only accessable to honest vet ozcarders which means many will miss out

am not in this group buy but chad is doing ppl are a favour and he doesnt need this kind of things after organising everything already. when i intend to buy something i try to give myself a certain budget just in case. but theres some occassion where u have a valid reason. anyway good luck on the group buy and i hope some1 pulled the rc auto buyback of mj

I am VERY disappointed to read about this......for someone to go out of his way and then get messed around with payment is not on. The people concerned should be named and banned from future group buys (IMHO).

If what follows is against any rules can someone let me know. I do not think it will be but I was always speak your mind and tell the truth (this does get me trouble sometimes). So to the people in charge if below is not allowed please remove and PLEASE don't be to upset with me.

I think it stinks how we have in this case (chadjaja) doing people a huge favour and getting boxes in for collectors, and people seem not to give a f@#%$!&g s%&t and don't pay up on time or even do the right thing and stay in contact with the person doing us a favour with nothing to gain. I know people say name and shame but maybe people need to read the frustration from the people in these group buys and do the right thing and PAY UP OR DON'T GO IN, & STOP STUFFING IT UP FOR EVERYONE ELSE

And by the way I know that I paid for my box of Hardcourt!!! So it's not me letting the team down.

OK FULLY lost patience now!

Sent out more PM's and according to the site both members have logged on and off since then. Not even the decenty to respond to PM's and let me know whats going on.

JAYC your Fleer Ultra box is gone and you aren't welcome to take part in group buys from now on. A two week ban will come into place for wasting my and members time.

SPCARDS if your money doesn't clear today or you get back to me with a banking problem after you said you paid a few days ago same goes for you. I'm hoping yours is a banking delay.

Its not on that I put my faith in you guys and I'm out of pocket for nearly three weeks and I wont be doing that again. If you can't pay on time dont play at all.
