Just bought a 360....

Ok, so technically, that's not the highlight of our day, we DID buy a new Fridge for our house....

BUT....
I was also allowed to put the Xbox on top of the same purchase, and on our bed, we have a brand new 360!!!

BUT.... There's also another catch...

Rules are... I'm not allowed to open it until we get in the house.... how shitty's that! Cos Danni's not allowed to play with her new Kitchen, I'm not allowed to play with the new Xbox...

I do have a question tho....
When I said about playing the older games with the 360, the store clerk told me I needed to go to the Microsoft website, to download a patch, burn it to a CD, and load the 360 up with it (as a boot disk)....???

We also picked up a set of curtains for the front of our house, the others are not as important (you'll be struggling to look thru them, it's up-hill from the back door neighbours).

all recommended! You have to get Xbox live too very fun vsing people especially in the arcade games. I got Mortal Kombat, Geometry Wars, Pac man, Texas Hold em, Bank shot Billards, UNO and Frogger.
You can store all your computer mp3s and vids on their too, also i think the internet is coming for it soon.
alot of cool things about it.
That sucks you have to wait to bust the sucker tho

scotty, you should get Smackdown vs Raw 2007, I saw the previews, the graphics look insane!! when you play the xbox 360 (any game) let us know if it's complicated or what it's like, i was interested in one.. but since then the interest has kinda died down..

Don't have any games as yet, other than the Arcade pack, and Kameo that came with it.

I've got Live 07 on order, they say they'll get it in about 2 weeks.

I got a discount on it, even tho we got it on Interest Free!

hey,
to play the old games all you have to do is plug your internet cable into your 360 then put in the xbox game and it will download the patch for you. but it doesnt have a patch for every xbox game they have only developed a patch for about 300 games so far.

im talking just the base system, with no extra bells and whistles. if sony are charging a grand for that when it goes on sale in march, i will sell my legends collection and start collecting Battier.

most people would pay a grand though. people payed $7-800 and even more for PS1 and 2 when they first came out. however, by march 07 sony will be really behind the ball, with microsoft and to a lesser extent nintendo, having secured a large chunk of the gamer community's bucks. to compete, they will be forced to cut prices to match or even go cheaper than 360 and Wii, in order to gain some loyal customers back who got pissed off by the massive delays.

waste of money if ya ask me, haha i'd rather go out and get a PS2 for a few $100 and use that.

Anyone remember when the Sony PS1 came out?? $1200 gave you the console and 2-3 games....

PS3 will be $1000RRP (give or take) and the Blue-Ray Games will be around $150 a pop! WTF!!!!!

LOL Marty, we got it with the Fridge on Interest Free, so we have 18 months to pay em off. SWEET!!!

I looked up for a patch off Xbox website, and they gave me instructions which I followed but games still won't play.

It's funny that copied DVDs work, and it even picks up the copied Xbox games, but won't play em, saying it's not compatible or something..

So I need to patch for EVERY Xbox game? F-ck that sucks!!!

just on 360 games, Mavs, you gotta pick up Gears of War, i think it comes out here Nov 23rd or thereabouts.

Its supposed to be the best game on 360, all the gaming mags and websites are going apeshit over it.
