1 CASE Leaf 2012 + 2 Boxes Gold Standard

Hi everyone. I picked up a case of Leaf Best of Basketball.
Was a gamble to say the least......
I know there are some MONSTER hits through this product so have to take the Good with the Bad.
But come on only 1 of the boxes in the case had a graded card???!
The cards were real nice but lacking in value. Apart from the money spent the Kobe is awesome and a real early Auto from him. The Bird AU and the Gary Payton are also sweet ... but all in all VERY Pricey hits.

Also picked up 2 boxes of GS to finish

+ a couple of Platinums i have already traded

All in all not to flash on either hope i get better luck next time..
I will probs still get another Case of Leaf next week lol.. even though i got hammered ,and i have heard im not the only one theres some shockers on youtube.

So either Leaf or maybe 5 boxes of Preferred? (or maybe $1000 worth of ebay Durants)
They just seem to be giving back pretty short and to only get 1 Graded Card was pretty disapointing.

U get a Kobe in every case that doesnt have a Lebron or Big MJ or Exquisite Pack etc.
And there are some Super nice Exquisite, 1986 Fleer, MJ autos etc. in this stuff so if you want $10,000 hits u have to have a crack!

LMK if any one is keen for trades etc. all 4 trade except the Kobe which is part of my Kobe PC.
Also been doing mass updates on my bucket please check it out and let me know if theres any big trades out there for my PC guys.

mate, I was in your dilemma last week, a case of Preferred or two cases of Leaf.
In the end, I chose a case of preferred, coz it is more fun to open with and I don't really care about resell value.
Not a great case, I'd say it is a very average one.
only cards worth showing are here

Rest hits are gonna generate about $300, so the return on case would be about 40-50%, and that's what an average case should look like from number of case breaks I have seen.

I think the preferred will be more fun to open with, but the "no hit" boxes can give you like $20-30 return.

Anyway, whatever you choose to buy, hopefully there is some MOJO in your next case.

I really like the idea of leaf basketbal but it is such difficult product to get the massive hits you (and just about everyone else) want. I would lean towards buying another case of Leaf just for fun factor plus you likely to get more Kobe PC but if you want to recoup some sort of $$ then you prob better off with Panini.

..I would have suggested a case of UD Exquisite from couple years back but realised today that these are selling for crazy money.

Thats a sick as ALLSTAR Patch! I have brought a few Preferred and had good hits on the Patch Booklets x2 and also a few nice Silhoettes and a D'rob Diamond Cut too. It was a real thrill opening the LEAF compared to any other product if only i didnt open the last box that had the Payton in it! LMK know if you every want to trade that Booklet mate.

Cant wait for the New stuff to arrive next month.. inc.the Fleer MJs
