"Collecting West Coast Eagles. The Most Successful Team in the History of the AFL"

Geelong???

Since the VFL became the AFL in 1987 the West Coast Eagles have made 5 Grand Finals for 3 Premierships, 4 Norm Smith medals, 2 Brownlows, 1 Coleman medal, 1 Rising Star Medal and a multitude of AA.

Oh and did i forget to mention 20 finals appearances in 25 years? That's an 80% strike rate of September action.

Ladies and Gentlemen of the Jury, I rest my case.;)

Didn't the AFL start in 1990?

Anyway

Geelong:
3 prems from 8 grand finals
14 finals (38 games) compared to weagles 18 (40 games)
4 norm smiths
3 brownlow
3 coleman medals
even more AA's

I would say Geelong have it over you now. he he

^ I think they have 3 Norm Smith medallists' (?) Ablett Snr was awarded one during the VFL. Good case for Brisbane being the most successful team in the AFL period. 3 consecutive premierships in the modern era which is a fantastic achievement.....what was this thread originally about??!

If we are talking about "The most successful team" You cant count Norm Smiths, Brownlows etc. As they are individual awards.

Just my opinion ;)

me wanting people to hand over their Naitanui's. :D

But since your technically right Mico the VFL was changed to the AFL in 1990.

By my reckoning that's 17 years out of 22 we have made the finals compared to Geelong 's 15.

5 grand final berths for 3 wins compared to 7 grand final berths for 3 wins.

4 Norm Smiths compared to 3.

2 Brownlow's a piece however we have had 6 runners up.

1 rising star a piece.

4 Goal of the year winners, Cousins 1999, Merenda 2001, Kerr 2003, Judd 2005 and a mark of the year Sampi 2004

More finals games played (also include that even when west coast finished higher in the 90's we still had to travel to victoria due to the afl's msg deals)

But when arguing with a Geelong supporter i only have to really mention two facts.

1992 & 1994 :goat:

:D :D

No other club has been as successful over the 22 odd years of the AFL.

So when i say the most successful club of the AFL period, you're close.........but no soup for you!!!!!!

Oh and i still want everyone's Naitanui's..

Ha ha mate, I’m not a Geelong supporter. Believe it or not i have brown and gold blood. Can't believe I am sticking up for the cats, but living in Perth i have to listen to my work mates end all footy related banter with “Eagles are the most successful club in the AFL” etc etc. Being a eastern stater, i like to remind them of the Hawks dominance over the last 50 years, and of course, the VFL.

What you mean the Melbourne Hawks? ;) (keep in mind you opened this can of worms)

Such a catchy, dominant song. Don't stress though, when your supporters jump ship again you have another back up plan in the wings.

Ha ha, the Tassy jumper should have 2 neck holes.

So how many Eagles players were on ice/speed when you won the last granny?

That's cute. I guess you forgot the leaked medical report that came from a club doctor at Hawthorn in 2007 that couldn't be published due to legal reasons that name several Hawks players with drug strikes to their names. I can find the article for you if you like. Oh and the last time i checked there is only one player that got kicked from the AFL for 3 strikes. Which club did he play for again?

Go away this thread is about what i'm looking for, not bickering with your trolling ass. I can see you need the last word so go ahead and take it because i won't be replying after that.

Hey Brad, I'm looking to purchase a 2009 SELECT PINNACLE DRAFT SIGNATURE NIC NAITANUI DP2 if you selling any.
I've been collecting West Coast cards for a few years but this is one that I haven't been able to get my hands on.
Thanks and hope you can help.
