Loosing Beau Scott is huge......although I like the way you haven't let the facts get in the way of your story. Scott was going to play 2nd Row but given injuries to Stanley and Cooper and a lack of depth in the centres (given Bennett has also pilferred McKinnon) has left Price with little choice.
Terrible indeed, but the good news is it wont be hard to improve.

The NRL is full of hypocrites. The same Saints fans that are up in arms about Bennett stealing players did not have such an issue with it 3 years ago when they did the same thing.
The system is the issue - its the NRL fault. You can bag a player for taking the most money on offer - anyone here would do the same thing.

I don't know that Princey is good enough any more. He is too predictable. He shits me when he takes dives like some European Soccer player. He can't defend... the list goes on. I wouldn't be upset if they turfed him to QLD Cup and experimented a bit with half combinations. What about even buying Orford and pay him on a game payment basis with the leftover salary cap. Put Orford in 7 and Prince in 6... we can't do worse than what we are now.

Who followed Bennett from the Broncos to the Dragons? Boyd & Nick Emmett? Both of whom were unwanted by the Broncos by the way.
Bennett is on record saying he wouldn't pillage the Dragons.
In saying that it's the system that is flawed and needs to be fixed.
He poached plenty from other clubs as well when he first took over St George was more my point.
I have a mate that works at the Newcastle Herald that told me that Scott's manager leaked the news. The NRL needs to reign these leaches in too.
Think of is this way. Saints fans want to kick and scream about Scott but they are on the verge of signing Brett Stewart - what's the difference. Ohhh - Wayne Bennett - right

Mate you can call them what ever you like,would not worry me one little bit,first of all no one was talking to you or Ayios yiorgos for that matter,was talking to ooneil and i did'nt mean to offend anyone,the comment wasn't said to any person but to the team st George as a bit of light humor.

thats where your wrong we had the game till gordon broke his leg. we were 12-0 up at that stage he goes and so does the team been saying it for months and months.
and before someone brings up the game this week against the roosters. the roosters and dogs are completely different teams with the dogs being serious premiership contenders under hasler and the roosters who will be doing everything they can to avoid that spoon.
my point will be made with clear indication after this weeks results when rabbits get their first win of the season and put 13+ on us. if theres any decent odds for this ill be jumping on it.
Hey Pete...I didn't take it personally although I understand my reply may have given you that impression . I was just keeping the light humoured banter going.....and really the choker tag has been put to rest.
At least 3 years ago the players recruited didn't all come from the club he was coaching, OK there was Darius Boyd, I can accept him following Bennett as he has those issues but Bennett is currently just cherry picking St George and as a fan of course I'm going to vent some frustration at that.......
One thing everyone does seem to agree on is that the system is flawed.

Come on Ross - you guys need to get over it and get on with the season. You cant blame everything on Bennett 2 seasons in a row. Darius aside we hardly cherry picked your best players with Cuthbo or McKinnon.
You should be happy that Saints did not spend stupid money that we have on Scott. Personally i would rather be spending $500k a year on 2 up and coming players.

No one's blaming Bennett for the dragons current on field woes (well I'm certainly not) it's more a whinge about the process, he obviously knows footy talent and what it takes to win, his recruiting is just very St George orientated at the moment and as I said as a fan it's gotta hurt when you loose local talent.
$500k.... yeah that kind off money is huge but maybe not stupid because as you say he has also bought some great up and coming talent, McKinnon looks the goods(although Hunter born) and apparantly Cameron King is on the radar.
