Oh, I am very surprised it was Shannon all this long and there was a bit of a hush hush about it though... Its sad it had to come to this.
I didn't have a slightest thought it was him, I've met that fellow once in a trade day too.

Exactly the same boat as me!! Everyone seemed to know who it was except me  I met him just the once too! At Wanneroo

Great work Terry for looking out for fellow members!
And for that scumbag, I hope he gets what he deserves!

Just got an interesting update.

I called the original owner of the card (Clint) earlier this afternoon and told him what was happening here !
He called me tonight to say that he got a hold of Shannon on the phone and that Shannon admitted to him that he had his card but tried to say that he had been ripped off by someone else online with it (the same story he told me but when I asked for copies of the deal he could not produce anything) I kind of expected that :(
Clint then explained that Shannon told him that He tried to contact him (Clint) and others including Mihn and that he could not get hold of anyone which was not true as Mihn received a call from him as stated in this thread asking "Does he want it back"

Clint then explained that he told Shannon that he wanted the card returned to him tonight but Shannon said he would drop it off at my shop.
Clint said that it had nothing to do with me and that he had 30 min to organize a meeting with him to hand over the KG logoman.

Did I mention that Shannon told Clint that he is holidaying in Bunbury atm.

to be continued .....

There's scum in all walks of life, our hobby isn't immune unfortuntely. A shame yourself and your business got caught up in it Terry, but well done on hopefully getting it sorted. Hope original owner gets his card back soon enough, and the offender gets whats coming to him.

I'd be telling him to bring enough to cover Hinrich's deal as well!! From HK!

What a tosser!

Thanks mate :) Most people who know me would know that I don't hold back much so it has been a major issue that has played on my mind for far too long. You wont believe how much better I feel now :)

Hopefully Clint gets his card back and then I can help Laurent to get his money back somehow. Will hold a fundraiser I think !!!

I'm more than happy to donate some cards as well tez, as long as there's a total ban for this creep, hopefully we can show to the international collecting community that's it's a minority of oz collectors that do this low life activity...

Thanks Brent :)

At the end of the day its not about having a point to prove to the US community but that if you love collecting and are a good person that there are plenty of good people ready to lend a helping hand ! Everyone already knows that Australia is the most generous country in the world ;)

Good onya Terry! Sounds like a wrong is just about to be righted. Just caught wind of this thread, and to be honest never really heard about the story as it panned out in the first place (ignorance is bliss:)). It is hard not to think that there is always the one idiot amongst us who only thinks of themselves, and if the US community think that this problem is solely an issue in Oz (and therefore won't deal with us generally) then they have their heads stuck further up their arses than I thought they already did.
And as a relative newcomer to this site, I reckon it is awesome that so many people are so quick to offer assistance in helping people out as needed.

And with that in mind I am thinking of starting my own charity! It can be called "HATCC" - Have Addiction To Card Collecting. Please feel free to send any spare Jordan autos or rookies to me. I will also accept Lebron and Durant Autos as well, you know, since times are tough for us all.

Have FUN collecting everyone.
Richard

Yea, You prob know Clint too he was there. That poor fella... He is not into collecting BB cards now but I am still pretty shaken this has happened to that guy and now he has to go through getting that card back.

If he really did steal the card, then this is very disheartening TBH. :(

Yeah it's pretty crazy... The original owner was getting his cards out for trading and accidentally dropped them in the car park. never seen 2 people (shannon and his brother - never seen them at a trade day alone) move so quickly to (what we thought) help but to steal instead :(

Be careful Terry...... just because they are brothers doesn't mean it's fair to paint them with the same brush. I don't know Shannon very well as I have only met him a couple of times so I can't speak for his character, but his brother Brandon I have known for 15+ years and is a very good mate of mine and having anything to do with stealing cards is not in his character.

Not once has Shannon's brother been accused of this. I just stated the facts of what happened. At no point did anyone think he was involved !

I apologize if it sounded that way
