No penalty. Slight contact possibly, but Suarez was already in dive mode. Great save Szczesny though.

if there was contact its a penalty. an extremely soft one, but still. to be honest, im suprised that a card didnt come with the call, if the ref thought it was a foul.
brilliant double save, youre right. hes pretty good at PKs ay?
pretty sure i heard that it was RVPs first ever goal @ anfield. hard to believe...

Zlatan @ Highbury

wouldve been sweet.
'no way. zlatan doesnt do auditions'...

without RVP your boys would be lucky to be mid table. the overall quality is gone. time to clear house a bit i think.
tho you have been unlucky with injuries. again. but even with a fully fit back line theyd struggle defensively. good to see diaby back, but did he get injured again last nite?!

Tight hamstring I think for Diaby. And I disagree, with a fully fit back line Arsenals defence would improve significantly. Sagna, Vermaelen, Gibbs, Santos, Djourou, now Mertesacker have had extended time out this season. Koscielny and Vermaelen have had to cover at left and right back a lot, whereas they both should be consistantly holding the two centre half positions. Sagna at right back and preferably a healthy Gibbs on the left, would be a great back four. Had no time to settle together though.

yeah his first goal at klanfield, and his first start there as well I think

Might of been handy, probably wouldn't of been able to pay him enough to keep him though

hmmm, maybe. gibbs is still unproven, djourou is hopeless, and santos should give up defending and convert to LMF. mertersacker im still on the fence. needs to show that his speed (or lack of) wont hold him back in the epl. verms and sagna are class, no doubt. the back ups are weak as too. kosc and squillaci? miguel? havent seen much of jenkinson so i'll leave him...

his first start @ anfield?! unbelivable. just shows you how injured he usually gets i guess. hes done well this season to stay fit. hopefully its a sign of less time spent rehabilitating.
cool zlatan pic. love how he was as arrogant as he is now when he was 19...

Fair on Gibbs, Djourou cops too much blame I feel. And Koscielny was unlucky with his OG last night, but he is class, and if fit will start next to Vermaelen every game.

djourou does make a lot of mistakes i think. obviously cant blame it all on him, but hes not a top enough player to be playing at arsenal in my opinion. kosc has been up and down from what ive seen over the last 2 seasons tho. maybe i just never forgave him for his debut...
not sure if unlucky is the right word to describe his OG tho. it was just a really bad clearance.

Good stat on Koscielny, has made most tackles of any centre back (70) in the league this season. Has also made the most interceptions.

Villas-Boas fired! Di Matteo manager for the rest of the season.
Massive money spent on AVB! Chelsea in all sorts of trouble.
Even though he didn't get results, you still have to feel sorry for him IMO, did the player's do enough?

whata joke. they didnt even give him a season. i never really thought he was the right dude, but if youre gonna go for him, then youve got to give him a proper chance. id say the sqaud is a much bigger problem than AVB.
to be honest tho, he was never the right dude for the job. far too young...

Wow! Pretty shocking half from United despite leading 1-0! Adebayor had a goal disallowed due to a handball.

i'm back on the weekends mate, have been for a while now, not as much during the week as i have an education to complete :P

and that's 2, nice finish by Young!

Class finish from Young, I think we're seeing why Spurs aren't quite there - They conceded 8 to us this year, 6 now to Utd, 5 to the Arse last week...

Liverpool striker Luis Suarez has been sensationally branded a “spoilt child” by a Manchester judge after a United fan struck his partner immediately after Suarez’s infamous handshake snub of Patrice Evra at Old Trafford last month.
As reported in the Manchester Evening News, United fan Graham Trelfa hit his partner with a TV remote control and threw her to the ground after seeing Suarez and Evra fail to shake hands.
Though making it clear that Suarez was not directly responsible for Trelfa’s “bullying” behaviour Judge Jonathan Taaffe could not resist on letting the public know what he thought of Liverpool’s Uruguayan front man.
When sentencing Trelfa, Taaffe went on to say: “The actions of Mr Suarez were at best ill-considered and at worst the actions of a petulant individual who behaved like a spoilt child and brought contempt on both his club and the many professional footballers who conduct themselves properly week-in, week-out.”
Father of three Trelfa, reacted angrily after watching footage of the snub on the 10 o’clock news and hit his partner with the TV remote from close range before throwing her to the ground. He was in court after he pleaded guilty to a common assault charge, he was given a 12 month community order and was forced to pay £85 in costs.
We all know that Luis Suarez was not exactly blameless in the whole Patrice Evra affair but by no way should he be blamed for everything. It is almost laughable that a man can hit his wife and then blame it on a footballer.
Speaking after the judge’s decisions a relieved Trelfa explained his reaction: “I would like to apologise for what happened and I’m relieved with the judge’s decision. I saw the snub and it just made me angry. It annoyed me so much.”
