Oden done for another year - where to now for the Blazers?

Spurs have put the cue in the rack though. No Parker or Duncan, as well as Manu injured.

And there is no doubting Jamal can play. Just isnt quick clicking with the Blazers.

That's one thing about the Spurs I always loved. Ego never gets in the way of the big picture.

They could have played Duncan and/or Parker and gone for the 12th straight and increase the longest streak of the year, but they know the oldies need a nanna nap!

I know Jennings is looking around, but do you think the Bucks would trade him, seeing he is the Bucks only playoff chance...Blazers would need to give up a bit.

The Bucks won't be making the playoffs with their current team either, so a trade would only do them good imo...

Aren't the blazers waiting for Patty mills to be released from his chinese contract? I thought that was the deal there - what, with him being a favourite of both the coach and the team owners.

Even if he is released, the Blazers have a full roster....

If he is let go, it's unlikely that Mills would return to Portland in the near future because the Blazers' roster is full, including point guards Raymond Felton, Nolan Smith and Armon Johnson. Portland would have to cut someone to bring him back.

They need to for High Picks meaning trading for some nice Lottery Picks. How About Biyombo? The Bobcats barely use him and he has good Potential! or Maybe Thabeet jks!

I read this morning that Joel Pryzbilla is going to sign with the Blazers.

They will delist one of Armon Johnson, Chris Johnson or Greg Oden.

So they cut Amar Johnson and keep Oden, purely for money reasons?!

would have to be. Johnson might be picked up on waivers which means that his salary is cut from their payroll. No one would pick up Oden because he is injured until his contract runs out anyway.

Roy to the rescue?

Former Rookie of the Year and 3-time All-Star guard Brandon Roy, who recently retired from basketball due to a serious knee condition, has been entertaining the possibility of a comeback, telling Eurobasket, 'It's hard being away from the game. Don't be surprised if you see Brandon Roy make his way back to the court.' Eurobasket.com

The five-year veteran, who was selected sixth in the 2006 NBA Draft by the Portland Trail Blazers, retired on December 10, 2011, after suffering from ongoing trouble with his knees. Lately, Roy has been working out in his hometown gym, preparing for a life changing possibility. 'It burns being away from the game and watching the entire season from the outside,' a frustrated Roy said as he followed the shortened 2011-12 NBA season from his living room couch. Eurobasket.com

According to sources close to the player, regardless of his knee problems, Roy's decision to retire wasn't all health related. 'There's something to it, but it's not the right time for me to get into it right now,' Roy said. 'I've been doing some treatment and I'm trying to leave the window open to returning to basketball.' When met with skepticism regarding his comeback, Roy explained, 'It's the truth. It's really hard being so far away from the game. I spend time watching Jamal (Crawford) and following all of his games; Will (Conroy) and Tre (Simmons) are both doing their thing, so it's driving me to wanna come back out there. If the treatment I've been looking into can work, I believe there's a good chance you will see Brandon Roy back hoopin'.' Eurobasket.com
